Best Experience at DBUU Dehradun

Overall Rating
After checking out many Universities not just in Dehradun but elsewhere too, I found DBUU Dehradun to be the best. The first thing is that, it's a budget friendly University and no compromise is there on quality education. University serves the students to the best of their interests but self practice is what will make life easy here. University provides us many opportunities and thereby a good exposure too.
 

Academics Rating
I am pursuing CSE and our program very much aligns with industrial demands and goals. Through our course, we get to learn various useful things like Coding, META, SEO, Digital Marketing, AI, and others. Industrial training is a part of our course as this course can't be learned just through books or lab classes, so, there are seminars and workshops hosted to offer industrial exposure to the students.
The University is definitely very affordable since, our fee is around Rs. 65,000/- per semester. Most scholarships are reserved for students of Uttarakhand.
 

Faculty Rating
I initially had some language barriers as some of the faculties were from the South and catching up with their accent wasn't easy. Their grit and qualification is such that their knowledge or wisdom of teaching can never be questioned. Students can never feel depleted in their mind as our faculties helps us in every possible situation and what makes them a charmer is their ability to solve doubts as many times we want.
 

Placement Rating
I am in my final year and I have seen the connections that our University has. A lot of industries visit the University and the quality of placements are good too with the highest package of 40 LPA secured from our branch.
 

Hostel Rating
Now, there are 5 boys’ hostels and initially they were 4 when I joined. In the first year, I stayed in a three-seater non-AC room and now I am staying in a 3-seater AC room for which the fee is around Rs. 1,25,000/- per year. The hostels have a nice common area and the mess is also at the ground floor of the hostel blocks.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure of the University is best to me as every single department has their building and all the buildings are differently built. The building of Engineering department is one of the oldest but labs and interiors including our classrooms have been upgraded. There are two canteens and for refreshments, there is a Nescafe Outlet which is opened till 9 PM. One multipurpose ground is there and it is mostly used for playing Football or Cricket but during events it is used for staging University events.
 

Campus Rating
DBUU Dehradun offers a complete community engagement as there are certain societies which believe in bringing students together. I have almost been here for 8 to 9 months and have never felt discriminated. Our fest ‘Pinak’ shows various cultures. Sports in general are the best thing to layoff. My feedback is positive about my University for various reasons. I am sure I will land a good job from the on-campus placements here.

    Dev bhoomi was started in 2005 with few students and now has approx 8,000 students. Earlier I was preparing for NEET but I couldn’t make it so I have to choose something related to biology.     The university infrastructure is good. It is far from the city which is good for the people like me who love peace and stay away from the city.     The University is located in an area close to the nature in Dehradun. The atmosphere and environment is really good, it is far from the city noise. My overall experience was really good. There are shops for stationary goods and daily needs for hostel students. They also have a canteen and some fast food outlets as well. A café for morning coffee is also present in the campus....
