RNSIT is among the best tier-2 engineering colleges of India. It is located in the silicon valley of India, Bangalore. Bangalore in itself is a hub for all IT enthusiasts. This city is ideal for a college like such. RNSIT is accredited with AICTE, which in simpler words, is the metric to standardize any college nationally. College management is terrific right from the counseling throughout the admission process. To gain a seat, the admission process is dependent on two exams that are JEE-Mains and COMED-K. I have got my entry through my COMED-K score in the CSE course in 2015, and since then, life is going well and techie. As usually happens in state-level colleges, maximum seats are reserved for candidates of the state, however, here the seats are good enough for outsiders also.
I was studying for JEE, to get placed into an IIT. On contrary, I was unable to get a good score in JEE advanced, therefore I tried to join any college through JEE mains or Comed-K, to which, and luckily I have landed myself into an amazing campus. Also, I got a CSE branch here, which was always my wish to study in my undergrad. Another reason I joined this course is because of the maximum opportunities to excel in this field. Also during examinations, you don’t have to study deeply, neither the checking of exam copies is done hard, which is a real advantage.
The faculty of this institute is among the decent faculties of India, they are no doubt, well-experienced professors. Professors are mostly having doctorates and Masters in engineering. There are quite the best professors in the ECE department. Despite the guidance of the faculties there are many outside best professors of India regularly coming back and forth for seminars and events that are quite helping in building placements and other strategies. However, all the professors teach the subject very well. Also during the examination, they set a good exam when it's internals, keeping the pressure off. All the teachers were very helpful and were spoon-feeding each subject very well.
Well, if everyone has been a little disciplined throughout the course period, there is no lagging in achieving the 100% placements. There are many companies coming for placements, one would hardly manage to miss the placement. Companies you might want to expect here are generally core companies and sometimes tech giants, like Wipro, Accenture, Infosys, LTI, Bosch, etc. Apart from placements, internships opportunities are also quite good here. You can get training opportunities here to excel in your practical skills in your respective domain. However, the ground-breaking reality of placements is that most of the students do get placements, but the average CTR is low. However, the maximum package goes higher sometimes.
Hostels of RNSIT are average; however, most of the students don’t usually opt for hostels, because many prefer to live nearby to save rent and enjoy more freedom. There are boys and girls in the separate hostels, however, the hostel quality is moderate and you shall not expect too much out of it. Each room is shared between two students. Every student is provided with a bed, study table, chair, cupboard and you could bring your own furniture too. Inside rooms, furniture quality is normal, however, during summers, you will find the fan inside your room useless sometimes. Students generally bring their own table fan for convenience. Moreover, there is a water cooler at the end of the corridor which provides cool water all the time, which is an advantage. Mess timings for the hostels are fine; you are being served food 4 times a day, including snacks in the evening. Food quality is good, plus the variety in food is also fine. You shall not be given the same food each day that is a bumper.
Infrastructure looks good on the outside, while if you live there as a student, you will enjoy less on the campus than you imagine it to be. There are pretty many restrictions like you cannot sit wherever you like, or you cannot play in the playgrounds until you’re properly permitted, and to leave the campus or hostel, you have to have quite many permissions too. However, the campus includes libraries, eating shops, and parks that are good for everyone to hang out and you will be making lots of memories there. The campus is huge, however, all the buildings are mostly the same, and the campus has a clean and well-designed area.
RNSIT does not conduct any event in a large scale, however there are many functions in which you can participate and enjoy. Mostly, these functions are done on the occasions of festivals. There is however, quite a room for everyone to enjoy and spare some time for entertainment.

I was labeled as Nerd right from my school days, and therefore even after getting admission in few other colleges, I chose RNS Institute of Technology. The college is located at the far end of Kengeri. The campus was huge and boring at the same time. The admission process is through Comed-K score, and luckily quota for outsiders is enough. I found many students from the Northern States, and that never made me feel left out in a state that has a completely different culture than us. One of the bi... Read Full Review
