Life at Hansraj College : A Student's Perspective

Hansraj College is one of the largest colleges affiliated to the University of Delhi. As a student myself, I can say it's 100% a true statement. Till now my experience in this college has been amazing. The teachers are really good and the extracurricular activities provided here encourages the personal growth of a student. It has everything a student needs; good staff, better infrastructure and not to mention a huge campus. So I would say it's a great honour to be a student at the Hansraj College.

This college provides a lot of courses like the Bachelor of Arts, Commerce, Science, Economic, Master of Arts, Science, etc. I have also heard that this college will provide some new courses this year, though I don’t know much about it specifically. To be eligibility you need to score good in your CUET exam. If you want me to motivate you to join our college so there's a famous quote, "an investment in a good college is an investment in a good future".

The faculty of our college is fabulous. All the teachers in the Hansraj College excel in their respective fields. The teachers use good methods to teach the students. Anyone can teach but you need some good skills to ensure that your students understand you properly. Well, I can't say this for every teacher because I have had some teachers who don’t use good methods to teach, so I didn't understand the way these teachers were teaching. Therefore, I searched for some YouTubers that helped me a lot. I wouldn't say every teacher in the Hansraj College is good nor I would say every teacher is bad. Everything in this world have some good and bad flaws, it's same for our college too.

There is a placement cell society in our college though I don't know much about it but I have heard a few students have got placed. You would get a good placement especially if you have some connection or good relation with alumni or within the placement cell society.

I am a day-scholar and not a hosteller so I can't tell you much. But some of my friends are hostellers, so I can give you an idea about the hostel life at the Hansraj College. The infrastructure is good. The hostel has its own dairy so you wouldn't be consuming any unhealthy dairy products. The hostel food is average as I have heard from my friends. Aside from all this I think this college is charging too much for the hostels.

The infrastructure is fine. The college is renovating and improving its infrastructure, which is good from my point of view. Besides this, there's lot of trees in our college which I like. If I talk about the classes in our college, they are equipped with air conditioning. Our college has a huge library which is also equipped with air conditioning and we have a huge college ground.

One thing I can say about our campus is that it has some diversity; students from all over India are enrolled in our college which I think is good. You face students of different localities every day and get to learn something about their culture. There are a lot of societies and clubs that you can check out. About fests, I have witnessed a fest in my college and it was good. But it could have been better if they wanted it to be. Anyways it was fine; you would have enjoyed it like me.
