Lakshmibai College cut off was CUET score 635-40

The level of education at the Lakshmibai College is quite good. Here, we have well qualified teachers who are really devoted to their work. About extracurricular activities, there are a lot of options available ranging from dance, music, art, debating, sports, social welfare, yoga, etc. The college campus is quite big, having a decent crowd. Though the fests of our college are not as famous as no big celebrity gets invited, but the students do put a lot of effort to make it fun and entertaining.

I am a student enrolled in Bachelor of Commerce at the Lakshmibai College. Any person who has given CUET in the required subjects and has passed the cutoff criteria can get into this college. For my course, the cutoff in the academic year 2023-24 was around 635-640. Taking this course was the right choice for me as I got a better understanding of all the subjects in this field. I developed my interest in one subject that I liked the most and took it as my career option. My main motive to enter into this college and course was the high placement records of the Delhi University and its popularity countrywide.

The staff under the Department of Commerce at this college is highly educated with most of them having a Ph.Ds in their respective subjects. Their teaching style is not much different from the staff at other colleges offering the same course as I have discussed about this with my other acquaintances. Some of the teachers are very nice. I remember in my first semester, my professor of Financial Accounting motivated me a lot to study well and focus on my career. She also gave her number to many students so that they can call her to help them with their academics and other doubts.

Yes, we do have a placement cell at our college but it is almost inactive. From the past few years, no companies have visited our college for placement and internship opportunities. But the good thing is that we, being a student of the University of Delhi can grab opportunities from any college under DU. This prevents taking a lot of pressure for off- campus jobs and internships.

No, our college does not provide any residential facilities to its students. But there are a lot of PGs and flats nearby for accommodation.

Our college campus is quite big with 5 different blocks for the students. The main building is old and gives proper DU vibes with red paint everywhere and old school chalkboards. But the newly constructed building has all the facilities including lifts and bigger classrooms. But the condition of the washrooms in all these buildings is not so good, along with the dirty and polluted water from the water coolers.

The overall campus life is average. I would give it 7 out of 10. But you can make it interesting by attending fests, competitions and other events of other colleges. There is a market nearby the college where you can get affordable college-wear outfits. This college is behind the North campus area. It hardly takes 5-7 minutes to reach there. Various engagement activities are held from time to time to make new connections and make the most of your college life.
