Honest Review on ADGIPS

Overall Rating
This institute was earlier known by the name Northern Indian Engineering College, but now it's renamed to Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Institute of Professional Studies. I am doing B.Tech in CSE. I joined this institute due to the main reason which all students consider that is the distance. I chose ADGIPS as it is near my house.
 

Academics Rating
The eligibility to enter into the B.Tech course in this institute is to attempt JEE Mains which is scheduled by NTA every year. One should have a good and decent rank to opt for the top tech branches. My rank in 2022 was 1 lakh 13 thousand, so I got the core branch CSE.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties here are very supportive and most importantly they are concerned about your marks and studies. That's why the administration has put a criterion of 75% attendance. Sometimes the faculties let you to stay after the class to clear your doubts. They organise makeup classes or extra classes to cover the whole syllabus in a brief summary. Overall, the faculties are pretty helpful and active. This institute has the most number of Ph.D teachers, who are experts in their own fields.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, ADGIPS has a separate department for placements. It accommodates all the doubts related to new opportunities opening into the respective class groups. The placement admins distribute new skills, resources and helps students to master their desired domain. The placement cell organises soft skills and aptitude sessions for students after the 2nd year to crack the interview and get placed.
 

Hostel Rating
No, ADGIPS doesn't provide hostel facilities as mostly day-scholars are admitted in this institute. But if someone is not a resident of Delhi, ADGIPS has ties with some PG owners nearby to the institute at a distance of 500m from the campus. So it's convenient for all outsiders.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is pretty much fascinating as you can find segregated blocks for every department. There are separate areas for many sports activities too. The library has a separate reading room where students can have fully furnished computer PCs to watch online sessions. There is another room in the library just to sit and do written assignments and work. Overall, this institute has a sophisticated and competitive campus for students to gain a good amount of knowledge.
 

Campus Rating
The crowd at ADGIPS is mostly of local students. The institute annually organises 2 cultural events and 2-3 tech fests. It promotes outsiders to maintain and built a good competitive spirit as it organise many inter-college competitions where students can take part and enhance their skills. ADGIPS has several clubs and societies to network and build more connections. We have 2-4 dance clubs from folk dance to street dance as well as a technical and cultural society ‘Awaaaz’. Overall, the campus life will give you great exposure. One can learn so much from these tiny little activities.

    Overall College Review is positive because the pros dominate some cons. ADGITM New Delhi has good lush green campus, co-curricular activities, decent placement opportunities, supportive staff & faculties, and a student friendly environment, which is ragging free. Crowd is overall good. Good level of competition is there healthy.     It is a decent institute overall, it is situated in Shastri park, nearest metro station being Kashmiri Gate and Shastri park. It has great sports facilities like basketball court, volleyball court, badminton court, football ground and a big ground other than these.     Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta former known as Northern Engineering Institute Of Technology is an average college affiliated with IPU. You can’t compare it with IIT but it is okay.
