Maharishi Markandeshwar University M.Sc Review By Savy Thakur

It always feels lovely and joyful to gossip about your college days back, to remember again those good memorable days. Hey, myself Savy I have completed my post graduation in 2019 from Maharishi Markandeshwar University. To be honest I feel very lucky that I have been graduated from MMU. The first thing that will mesmerize you is the infrastructure of the university, tall buildings, big sports parks, gym facilities, cafeteria and clean, hygienic hostels and air conditioning classes with projector players. Faculty members, teachers, warden all have been always so humble and helpful. University is affiliated with UGC. I started with a small self assessment session here.

Seriously how fast these two years of my Masters had passed I don’t know. I joined masters in microbiology here. I was very fond of knowing about the things that we see from our naked eyes since childhood e.g. bacteria, virus. After coming to this university, I got a chance to know about all these things in detail. After doing this course, I got a job in a reputed lab. The subjects in this course which I thought were the same as what I had studied on the internet were more interesting subjects than that.

This university has 200+ courses. There is a separate faculty divide for each course. 3 teachers are available per subject. Due to the large number of students, the students are divided into sections. Some teachers teach very interesting fact in very unique way. Sometimes it was very difficult to understand what was taught by the teachers. But overall the faculty was post graduate and had a very good methodology.

Very good placement is given in some courses in the university. But unfortunately I didn't get placement in my course. Many IT Sectors, Pharma companies provide placements to the students. According to university fees students get a good package e.g. Rs. 10 lakh per year. Approx 40% students get placed in reputed companies, labs. And yes University gives great opportunity to medical student to work in university hospital.

Hostels have big and airy rooms. There are separate hostels for boys and girls also separate hostels for international students. Hostels food is so amazing. Food in hostel is according to students Veg and non veg food of children's choice is provided in the hostels. Milk, egg and every essential food necessary for student is provided in hostels. Hostel fees is very high not every middle class family afford hostel for their students in this university.

University is spread over 47 acres. Each department has a separate building. Each building has its own separate party hall. A separate auditorium has been built for the cultural program of the university. And remarkable memories of mine are of “college canteen”. This was the place where we used to hangout and chill with our friends, all little planning’s of upcoming future, going out, we used to discuss them all there, it was like our fun place. Other then that the best part for me was sports event which our university organize every year that lasts for 6-7 days. In these sports events, various competitions happen. Students even from different colleges come to be a part of these sports events. Many students participate in different games in which they are best and enjoy a lot. I too participated in my college’s sports events and it gave me the best exposure and experience of my life.

Fest name UNIVERSUM is best part of University. Many cultural programs related to every country, religion are held in the universum this is the best time of my life with my friends. If we will talk about all of them the whole day will be short. Although during exam times there used to be a tensed environment but it was fun too. The happiness of attempting the questions which you just prepared in night before your exam was the best feeling ever. It was like as if I had some divine power. Seriously how fast these two years of my graduation had passed I don’t know. Every single day in the college was like getting new experience daily. Along with studies me and my friends were very fond of travelling to hilly locations. We travelled and enjoyed a lot and made never forgettable memories. Our college was fulfilled with each and every requirement.
