Alliance University MBA Review By Yashika Katyal

If I have to recommend a university from Bangalore, it would be Alliance University due to its speciality in several courses. Students can choose from hundreds of specialisations. The course that I opted for was Masters in Business Administration. The entrance was not much daunting; it simply included percentile in the last degree, followed by an aptitude test, personal interview and clearance of CAT at priority. To be honest, initially, I was very panicked, but as I got admitted, I got engaged in research and other activities. The flexibility to choose from a pool of specialisation makes it easy for students to take subjects of one's own choice. As per a survey, in South India, this university is ranked 3rd Business school, and all over India, it is placed at 10th rank.

The academic facility at Alliance University Bangalore is quite appreciable. The interactive lectures that are provided at alliance university are very fascinating. It promotes group discussions which make learning concepts easy. The students are not forced to cram the things, but distinct ways are opted to make complex things simpler. Sometimes, the classes extend due to additional teaching, so I moulded myself to gain maximum. The excellence at Alliance is unmatched, and academically it is the best place to study; though sometimes lectures may not be much interactive, yes, they are satisfactory.

Though the faculty at Alliance is stringent as their primary aim is to make every candidate study. Almost every teacher is a doctorate who always make the session interactive and easy to understand. But self-study is equally essential, and it should be considered trivial. Not to mention but still, it is appreciated that teachers are available to clear doubts. The publications done by lecturers are very helpful to comprehend the topic; I got a lot of publications issued from the library. I am contented with faculty as they are very soft-spoken and my professors always prepared me well before exams.

I was impressed with the placements of Alliance University as every year top companies such as Aditya Group, Trident chains, KPMG so on recruit candidates from this university. High paying conglomerates like Infosys and IBM are often invited by University that offers high salary to the employees which makes their placement successful for the future. The Alliance University has always been a highlight for placement by giving the best jobs to candidates. I was surprised to witness that in 2019 the placement was 92.2% and luckily I passed out this year itself. I was really satisfied with placement offers as almost 95% of students get recruited from this university annually.

The hostel facilities are not much satisfactory because of the first-come, first-serve policy, and any late admitted student may be excluded from getting the hostel facility. But luckily, I got a seat in the hostel. Undoubtedly, the security checks are very tight, and there is very little chance of any mishaps. The hostel offers every type of food, and sometimes it may not be of your liking. So, one needs to be ready for adjusting. Both in and out of campus, rooms are available, though cleanliness is not much. The hostels are well managed in terms of security and basic needs. The in-campus hostel is very expensive and affordable for good paymasters only. But honestly, my experience with the hostel was very good because of the hostel's facility.

Alliance University has an alluring environment. The infrastructure is praiseworthy with an outstanding library, halls of residence, hostel and several labs for practicals and research facilities. There is a food court offering a variety of food through their taste quality can be revamped. I liked the seminar halls the most because they are very big and the classrooms are having projectors for making sessions interactive. There is a fitness centre and ATM facility available and the library of this university is very spacious with a lot of publications. One eye-catching feature is that there is a high-speed internet service available for students to perform their assignments and this is available all the time. Overall if I have to rate the infrastructure out of 5, I would rate it 4.8.

I consider myself fortunate that I got a chance to study at this university as it has a good ambience and it offers an environment where students and teachers can interact easily and comfortably. The campus is not too big but students come from diverse backgrounds. So, it is, therefore, a cosmopolitan university.
