The name tag of IIT is enough to draw attention from many institutes. I qualified JEE Advanced and got into IIT Dharwad in 2022. As it is one of the third-generation IITs, the expectations were not high before joining this institute, but after joining it, my perspective of this institute has changed a lot. The students who get into any IITs are full of different skills and creativity. This is the biggest plus-point why anyone should join one of the most premieres institutes of our country.

Our IIT provides 8 Bachelor in Technology programs which are CSE, MNC, EEE, ECE, EP, CIE, CBE and an integrated program which is Bachelor and Master of Science. All the programs will require a qualification of JEE Advanced. This institute offers high quality education. The courses designed in each programs are systematically structured, keeping an eye on latest technological advancement.

The faculty members of IIT Dharwad are highly educated and highly qualified. The whole teaching system is based on student’s view of understanding. They teach every concept in crystal clear manner and educate us how to apply / deploy those concepts / techniques in real world scenarios. The professor-student interaction is very good and there are no restrictions on approaching professors regarding doubts of concepts or research and development of project works.

We have a placement cell called as Career Development Cell which is entirely a student governing body. It works in nurturing students from the beginning till their placement in various companies. It also arranges talk shows / seminars / webinars on different topics from people of different background, which help students by filling the gap between academia and industry.

Yes, the institute provides residential facilities in a top notch hostel infrastructure. Though, food in mess has South Indian taste.

As this is one of the third generations IIT, the infrastructure is excellent. Central learning theatre, instrumentation labs, academic, administrative, hostel, mess buildings are new, enhanced with modern facilities as well as safety measurements. Gyms, Indoor Game facilities also came into act just a year ago, equipping modern machines and floors respectively.

Students from various cultural and social backgrounds from all over India come here every year and interact with each other, seniors, faculties and settle themselves very comfortably. Notably, this campus is totally a Ragging Free campus, which provides more interactive environment among the students. We have Annual Technical Fest such as Parsec, Annual Cultural fest, Annual Sports Fest (GC) etc. There are a wide variety of clubs of different areas which enhances skills of students in a certain direction throughout the academic period. Anyway, it is titled as "Green Campus", with fresh air, and cooler climate throughout the year.
