IIT Dharwad Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules

Hostels are newly made and good. I would say we have the best hostels and rooms amongst all IITs, but the only drawback here is that the rooms are 4 sharing. Still, they are clean, well lit, have fans, LAN port, cupboards, beds, tables and chairs for each member. Washrooms are shared and cleaned regularly. We have washing machines and water purifiers on each floor. We also have TT tables and common rooms on almost all the floors. Mess food is okay, not too good and not too bad.Read Full Review

The institute offers residential facilities. There are two hostels, where in each room there are four students. The institute provides unlimited Wi-Fi access there. For first year students, girls and boys hostels are same but have different compartments. After first year, students have separate hostels. Inside the hostel, there are common rooms where different stuffs are kept for playing games like carom, table tennis, etc. Mess food is decent, with good hygiene. There is no time of entry and exit for the hostel, but you need permission for exiting the campus and have to return by 11 PM. I have good experience in hostel. We have currently two campuses, one is permanent and other is temporary which is at a distance of 9 km. But we have proper transposition facility between both campuses. Currently we have newly build hostels and campus. Our hostel room is allocated to four people and in one room we have two fan four table and chairs cupboard.
