Overall, it's a decent IIT. In 2024 it got 10th NIRF rank. It has ragging free campus. The coding culture of this IIT is very good. Classrooms and teachers are also good. Labs are maintained and have required equipment. Hostels are also pretty good. Sports are managed by Gymkhana and sports council.

Each department has its separate building with lab, few classrooms and research labs. A minimum of 75% attendance is necessary to pass in a subject. Each year has 2 semesters and each semester has 2 exams that are mid-semester and end-semester exams. Assignment, tutorials, quizzes and lab classes are also conducted for each subject. We have CGPA grade system. We are also involved in several research programs. Our students also have opportunities to go abroad for higher studies for example Japan, France, USA and Germany. We have MoUs signed with ISRO, DRDO, Ministry of Health Industry, Bureau of Indian Standard and more. Several career programs like guided project, workshops, and guest lecturers are arranged for career development of the students.

Mostly, all the teachers are good at teaching. Here, we have new as well as old teachers. All the new teachers I have studied from are very good. Most young teachers like to teach by interacting with students. They will help you with your doubts if you go to their channels in free time and they encourage us to do so. They also teach on projectors if required.

In IIT BHU we have Training and Placement Cell (TPC) which send information regarding placement opportunities and training & skill development sessions. This club is lead by 1 representative from each branch of each year. This cell manages all the data regarding placement. Yes, this cell really helps the students acquire jobs in industry by notifying about the internship and skill development opportunities through mail. Placement of our IIT is very great, especially in coding.

Hostels are also very good. Each hostel has its canteen and mess. It also has a lot of space as park. It has a study room where you can study in peace. It also has common hall where we can attend meetings or celebrate some functions. Each room is shared between 2 or 3 students and it has cupboards, table and chair.

We have library where one can study or can issue the books required for department or beyond academics. We have Student Activity Centre which consists of gym, boxing hall, taekwondo hall and many sports. We have 3 big grounds for sports. We have auditorium and Swatantra bhawan to celebrate in large numbers. Each department has its lab and few classrooms with it. We have cafeteria, Limbadi corner, and DG corner for snacks. In campus there is Vishwanath temple also.

Campus life is very chill. We do not face any type of ragging ever. Here, seniors are very helpful and provide all support. In addition, we have Techdad- Techson culture in our IIT in which Techdad is senior, who takes care of his techson. We have many fests like Technex, it is the annual techno-management festival; IITBHU Model United Nations, it is the pioneering Model UN conference of North India; E-Summit, it is the annual three-day entrepreneurial extravaganza; Kashiyatra, the annual socio-cultural festival, and Spardha, annual fest of sports council. Here are many clubs like, astronomy club, business club, science and technology club, music club, photography club, dance club and many more.
