My views on IIT BHU

Overall Rating
IIT BHU is currently ranked 10 in NIRF ranking 2024. The college has very good environment for academics and personal development. So many clubs and societies are there to help a student in his / her extracurricular growth. The college has tech clubs like aero modeling, robotics, coding club, and more. There is E-cell and business club also. Even there is UPSC club for UPSC aspirants. Overall as per this year data, the college is ranked 3rd in case of placement and got highest number of offers among all the 23 IIT’s. Also, the city Varanasi is tremendously beautiful.
 

Academics Rating
Academically this college is excellent. Professors are highly educated and they are helpful also. In the tutorial classes every tutor helps students to solve their each and every doubt. The labs equipment are excellent which makes it easier for the students to carry out practical.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are highly qualified. They are helpful also, not arrogant at all. They always help us to solve our doubts and help us to get knowledge very deeply. They suggest us books and also they suggest some problems from the books that we have to solve. They give us tutorial sheets and those are very helpful.
 

Placement Rating
Placement wise last year IIT BHU was 3rd among all the IIT’s. Its average package was around 18-20 LPA. The highest package was 1.15 crore last year. It got most offers among all the IIT’s last year.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels are so good. Especially for the freshers the new PC Ray Hostel is beautiful. The rooms are triple sharing and the only problem is it has two almirah. The room is sufficient for three people. The food in mess is also above average.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is quite old here. Classrooms are lack of AC as they are very old but the director announced a week ago that every classroom will get AC, even the common rooms in hostels will be equipped with AC in the coming days. The college has three big grounds. The main library consists a huge collection of books. There are three big reading halls that are fully equipped with AC and a big computer lab also. The college Wi-Fi is also very good. It gives 100 mbps in hostel rooms; if you use LAN the speed is much better.
 

Campus Rating
Campus is so beautiful. It is always little crowded as the campus is a bit small. There are so many clubs here like music club, western music club, dance club, business club, E cell, MUN club, robotics club, aero modeling club, coding club, outreach club, literary club, etc. The alumni network of this college is huge. There are big fests like Kashiyatra, sports fest Spardha, tech fest Technex, and more.

    The overall experience at IIT BHU is like dream fulfilling, had a rigorous curriculum, research opportunities and highly educated faculties for the academics. I really like the sports facilities offered by the institute and joyful & memorable experiences at the festivals.
