Overall Rating
The overall life at IIT (BHU) Varanasi is a mixed journey of fun and academics. The reason I chose this Institute because of its high placement rate, good clubs, competitive spirit, and never ending opportunities. The campus life here is going to be a fun and adventurous one.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, a 4 years program at IIT (BHU). To get admission in this Institute you have to score a good rank in the JEE Advanced examination and for that you will have to qualify JEE Main. After that you have to participate in the JOSAA counseling in which you will fill your priorities and get the Institute based on your priorities and the rank you have secured. The exams are held twice in a semester.
The semester fee of my course is Rs. 1,00,000/- per semester. Scholarship and financial aid is also provides to the students which are financially weak.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are very much skilled. Most of them are very experienced and have done Ph.D in their respective field. They are very knowledgeable and provide the knowledge equally. The method of teaching varies from professor to professor, some use black boards while some use PPTs. The problem solving abilities of the faculty is great as they have deep knowledge of the subject they are teaching.
 

Placement Rating
The placement rate is very high in our Institute. Our college was at the top in placements in the last academic year.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, The Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi also provide hostel facilities to all the students. Overall the hostels are average.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is average. However, few new lecture halls have also been created which is fully air conditioned. The canteen has been renovated and is quite good and affordable.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is a mix of everything. You will be having fun at one moment and stressing about your placements the next. The clubs are great but too competitive which is a plus point for those who are really interested in that domain that they can have a career in it. The campus organise many fests and events in a year with three main fests like Kashiyatra, Technex, and Spardha.

    IIT BHU is currently ranked 10 in NIRF ranking 2024. The college has very good environment for academics and personal development. So many clubs and societies are there to help a student in his / her extracurricular growth. The college has tech clubs like aero modeling, robotics, coding club, and more.     The overall experience at IIT BHU is like dream fulfilling, had a rigorous curriculum, research opportunities and highly educated faculties for the academics. I really like the sports facilities offered by the institute and joyful & memorable experiences at the festivals.
