The IIT BHU is Beyond my Expectations

Overall Rating
My overall experience in this Institute is good. I am in the second year and I have explored almost everything about this Institute. I chose this Institute because it is located in the holy city called Varanasi. The 2 best things about it the Institute itself and the placements here. So, yes, my expectations with this Institute are good. The alumni network of this Institute is also good.
 

Academics Rating
I chose Bachelor + Masters integrated course. The academics of this Institute are flexible as compared to other Institutes. If you are good in academics then you can score 8 CPI which is good enough to sit in the placements. At the end, this is what you want. The eligibility criteria are same as the other Institutes. After that, you have to appear in the JOSSA counseling.
The fee of my course in IIT BHU is around Rs. 1,00,000/-and Rs. 10,000/- extracurricular fee per semester. The mess is around Rs. 16,500/- per semester. The Institute also provides fee concession to the students who are financially week. It also provide discount to the students who belong from SC/ST and OBC category.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members of this Institute are average. The teaching methods include PPTs, etc. if you are interested in the course then the professors are more than happy to guide you. The professors are very extra ordinary and they help the students in every way possible. Once you will get to know the professor then they will help you throughout the life. Overall, the faculty members are good.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the Institute has placement cell. Most of the placement is given to the tech domains but others companies related to other domains also visit the campus for recruitment. The cell of this Institute is one of the best and they really work hard to get good companies.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, IIT BHU provides separate hostel facilities to both male and female students. There are around 37 hostels and the hostel rules are very strict. The hostel gates remain closed from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM. The mess provides variety of food to the students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus offers various facilities to the students. The building is 50 to 100 years old. The making of new building is in the process. The academic and departmental blocks are well-maintained. The campus has air conditioned library which has the capacity to accommodate around 1000 students at a time. Most of the students spend their time in the library. The canteen is also available in the campus which is good.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is average not up to the mark. Most of the people stay outside the campus because the city has a lot of things to offer. There are various clubs in IIT BHU which the students can join. The clubs are good as compared to other Institutes. It conducts 3 to 4 fests such as Cultural fest, Technical fest, Sports fest, etc.

    IIT BHU is currently ranked 10 in NIRF ranking 2024. The college has very good environment for academics and personal development. So many clubs and societies are there to help a student in his / her extracurricular growth. The college has tech clubs like aero modeling, robotics, coding club, and more.     The overall experience at IIT BHU is like dream fulfilling, had a rigorous curriculum, research opportunities and highly educated faculties for the academics. I really like the sports facilities offered by the institute and joyful & memorable experiences at the festivals.
