LSR: A well designed campus filled with talented students

Overall Rating
LSR is one of the top 10 colleges in the country and the infrastructure, faculty and overall experience cater to it. The entire girls' college experience is very comforting. The fellow mates and the faculty are very helpful. The college upholds its elite standards.
 

Academics Rating
Since the inception of CUET, there are no rigid eligibility criteria to get into the college but the scores and cut-off go high. As a person from the general category 750+ is a safe score to get in but it is also dependent on the course you are opting for. For courses like Political Science and Economics (Hons.), the cut-offs are usually higher.
 

Faculty Rating
Most of the faculties working permanently at LSR have great educational backgrounds from top universities around the world. This competency is well reflected in their teaching pattern which is based on theoretical understanding accompanied by practical understanding. Moreover, you get to leverage the connections of the faculty to get great opportunities to learn from.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a placement cell in the college. The constant opportunities for interning with top-notch corporate houses are just great. Although the job placements are appealing mostly to students from the Economics, Commerce, and Statistics departments. These departments get the highest packages. This year the highest package was 46 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel is absolutely pretty and affordable but has been closed for quite some time for repair purposes. The food is really tasty and the warden is really polite.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Since the college has been in existence for so long, the infrastructure is a bit dull but the new building is very accommodative and makes up for the vintage amenities. It is considered one of the prettiest campuses of the DU. The labs are well equipped and being a government college the facilities are great. There is an old building, new building, Nescafe, terrace, canteen, mother dairy, exhibition halls, pond, amphitheater, and lawns.
 

Campus Rating
The campus always has some or the other event going on. The campus is always bustling with life and the commotion of clubs and their recreational activities along with events planned by the student union bring life to the college campus.

  • BA Journalism at LSR Delhi: Admission, Faculty, and Facilities

    The course I chosen is Journalism because I wish to pursue a career in editorial or PR in the future. To get admission in BA (Hons.) Journalism, you need to qualify CUET exam. The first round cutoff for this year was 770/800. For CUET, there are two available subject combinations to qualify. Any 3 subjects that are in list B and that you’ve studied in class 12th plus English, or general test & English. The admission process is quite simple and it’s online.     Before coming here, I was so skeptical whether I would find any genuine person or girls would be toxic, but to my surprise everything is so nice here, the people, the environment, the work culture, infrastructure everything.     I loved my experience in this college. Being a first year student pursuing Economic (Hons.), I think the glorified picture of Lady Shri Ram College pictured outside DU, is indeed true. Particularly for economics, this is genuinely the best college. I have gained both knowledge and confidence here. The campus itself is very beautiful with lush green lawns the iconic red brick architecture of DU. There are many societies here, covering everything a student may be interested in.
