LSR New Delhi Offers Ward Welfare Scholarship to Defense Personnels

I am pursuing Bachelors of Science in Statistics with career prospects in Analytics and Consulting. To opt for this course, you need to have studied Mathematics in your Class 12th. It’s a very technical course so consistency is much needed to excel in academics. You can get admission in LSR by giving the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). We give exams semester wise at LSR. So, there are 2 cycles throughout the year in December and then June following a CGPA System. The academic curriculum is an integration of theoretical and practical knowledge.

The fee is paid annually. When you get your admission through the CSAS Counseling rounds, that is when you pay the 1st year fees which ranges from Rs. 24,000/- to Rs. 26,000/-, depending on the course. After being a student at College, there are various Merit-Based scholarships, KPMG Scholarships, Ward Welfare Scholarships, etc. you can apply for. Ward Welfare Scholarship is especially for the children of Military people.

The faculty of the Statistics Department is one of the best in the college. This was the factor that made me keep College Statistics as my first preference. The department consists of 7 well-experienced teachers who focus on learning within the classroom. Teaching methods include White Board, Screen, projector, and Computers in Labs. They give us practical knowledge through MS Excel, Python, and SPSS, all of which is necessary for a career in Statistics domain. The Head of Department is very involved with the Department Union and students directly to solve any problems faced by the students. Overall, the teachers are very approachable and helpful for any career or academic related doubts.

The Placement Cell of my College is one of the best performing in the country. Placement Cell offers internship opportunities in the second year from Bain & Co. Nation with Namo, McKinsey, Accenture, BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, and many more. The Placement Cell also offers many opportunities with government institutions like Niti Aayog. I will be participating in the Internship process and I am until date very satisfied with the guidance received by Placement Cell for our CV and Recruitment process. The Placement Cell also conducts many sessions and webinars with industry professionals on topics like CV Building, Guesstimates, Case Study Questions, and more.

Lady Shri Ram College does not offer Hostels. All the outstation students live in PGs in GK and National Park. These PGs are located in one of the Porsche locations in Delhi and are very safe.

We have 3 vast buildings in our College, 2 well-stocked libraries with access to all physical and digital books, college Canteen, Nescafe, Mother Dairy. The canteen is hygienic and affordable. The best part of the Campus is the Front & Back lawns, which are very widespread, and the most famous spot for hanging out. We have an amphitheatre and 2 Exhibition Halls used for events. The auditorium is well spacious and is utilized for all events meant for the whole student body with a balcony to accommodate everyone.

This College houses more than 70 clubs and societies all of which are led by students. The Diwali fest, Noor and Annual Fest, Tarang bring light to the campus like no other. Besides these, all the departments conduct their own Academic Fests, which bring students from other colleges to this College for many competitions. This College offers NSO, NSS, and NCC which look out for extracurricular along with the most prestigious societies like Enactus, IFSA, and E-Cell. The college crowd is very inclusive.
