Securing My Future at LSR College, New Delhi

Overall Rating
My overall experience at Lady Shri Ram College is very good. The campus of the college is very good and Friendly. The environment of our college is very safe and feels like home. All the teachers and students are supportive and help us when we need. It's a girls college so we can stay here without any fear. I suggest other students to choose our college for their graduation.
 

Academics Rating
I am a student of B.Sc (Hons.) Mathematics. I choose this course because I have interest in Mathematics. To get the admission in this course, the eligibility criteria are you must have studied Mathematics in your 12th class and after which you must give CUET to get the admission in the colleges of Delhi University. After the result of CUET, you have to fill your college and course preference. After this, you get the admission in colleges according to your marks and rank.
The fees of our college are taken year wise and it is different for all the courses. If the family income is less than 2.5 Lakh then the student gets the scholarship.
 

Faculty Rating
All the teachers of our college are very supportive and friendly. They are always ready to help us if we face any problems regarding academics or other things. All the faculty members are well educated. Most of the faculty members of my department are graduates of IITs. Most of the teachers of my department use whiteboard for teaching us. They conduct doubt sessions to clear our doubts. I personally am very attached to my teachers.
 

Placement Rating
We have a Placement Cell and E Cell in our college. It helps the students to get on campus internships and placement opportunities. BlackRock, Amazon, etc companies come to our college to hire the students for different roles and responsibilities. The highest package last year, of our college was 49 Lakh.
 

Hostel Rating
Our college does not provide any residential facilities.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of our college is good. There are two buildings of our college. All classrooms are well maintained. The campus of our college is big and beautiful. We have a well maintained library and a medical room. The food of our college canteen is okay. The back lawn is my favorite place in the college. We have projectors in our classrooms to present the PPT etc. We have an auditorium in our college too. Facilities like open gym and judo Hall are also there.
 

Campus Rating
My campus life is absolutely amazing. I loved it very much, the crowd of my college is very good all the students are very supportive and helpful. We have various cells like SC/ST Cell, North East Cell, etc. and societies like Reach, Dhyana, Prakriti, Dance Society, Music Society, Drama Society etc. We celebrate Diwali Mela "Noor" and annual fest TARANG in our college. In our college, the societies conduct competitions during the annual events. All the departments of our college have their own annual academic meets.

  • BA Journalism at LSR Delhi: Admission, Faculty, and Facilities

    The course I chosen is Journalism because I wish to pursue a career in editorial or PR in the future. To get admission in BA (Hons.) Journalism, you need to qualify CUET exam. The first round cutoff for this year was 770/800. For CUET, there are two available subject combinations to qualify. Any 3 subjects that are in list B and that you’ve studied in class 12th plus English, or general test & English. The admission process is quite simple and it’s online.     Before coming here, I was so skeptical whether I would find any genuine person or girls would be toxic, but to my surprise everything is so nice here, the people, the environment, the work culture, infrastructure everything.     I loved my experience in this college. Being a first year student pursuing Economic (Hons.), I think the glorified picture of Lady Shri Ram College pictured outside DU, is indeed true. Particularly for economics, this is genuinely the best college. I have gained both knowledge and confidence here. The campus itself is very beautiful with lush green lawns the iconic red brick architecture of DU. There are many societies here, covering everything a student may be interested in.
