B.Com at LSR New Delhi: Requirements, CUET Score & Admission Process

Before coming here, I was so skeptical whether I would find any genuine person or girls would be toxic, but to my surprise everything is so nice here, the people, the environment, the work culture, infrastructure everything. So, if anyone getting LSR New Delhi, just go for it you are not going to regret at all. Seniors are so helpful, people are so kind, and faculty is also amazing, so overall it is a good experience. According to me, what made this college so different from other colleges is the vibe. It is magnificent.

My course is B.Com (Hons.) because I belong to Commerce background and I wanted to make my career in Finance and also I am very passionate about Entrepreneurship. So, I think this course would be perfect for me. The entry requirement to pursue this in LSR New Delhi would be through CUET. If you belong to general category, then your score should be above 760. There is some reservation for categories like OBC, SC/ST, and Sports Quota. You can easily find the information or cut off on DU websites. The admission process is through CSAS portal, which is DU’s official recruitment process. Frequency of exam is 2 exams per year and this is a 3 years mandatory course. I think the course I am pursuing is actually nice and not so difficult. If you belong to Commerce background, you can easily focus on other exams as well or other activities like competitions, internships and all.

The fees I have paid initially is Rs. 25,000. Fee should be paid at the end of every year. Coming to discounts, I think they provide some discount based on reservation like OBC and SC/ST not sure. There are many opportunities for scholarships too. (Extra advice, I would recommend every student to bring their income statement too because they demand income statement also in some cases.)

The faculty of B.Com (Hons.) is nice, helpful and has unique ways of teaching. Teachers are experienced in their areas. In every class, there is projector, white board and a lecture desk. Teachers also use mic so that students from back can easily hear their voice. Here we also have TUT classes where we generally solve case studies and students can discuss different topics or their doubts. The teacher student ratio would be 1:10. Teachers are very approachable you can ask any doubts to them, just after the class or in the class only by raising your hand.

Placements of LSR New Delhi are great. There are so many companies like Goldman Sachs, BlackRock, Big 4, etc which have come for offering internships and placements. Last year the highest placement of DU was from our college only.

From past two years hostel is under renovation but this year they will provide the hostel facility.

The college has great infrastructure you will find everything here, library, computer labs, reference room, sports complex, TUT block, amphitheatre, seminar hall, auditorium, conference hall, etc. Campus is spread across 15 acres. Sports courts for Badminton, Tennis, Basketball, Shooting, Volleyball, etc are there. For food, we have Nescafe and a canteen, which provides both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. We also have clean washrooms, medical rooms etc. My favorite thing is chilling with my friends having Nescafe’s maggi in back lawns or near peace centre.

My overall experience is great. I am actually enjoying my campus life. Crowd as I have said earlier is very kind and helpful at the same time. There are many societies in the college that will align with your interest. I myself am a part of three societies, which is Entrepreneurship cell, Department of Commerce and the Consulting Collective where I have learnt so many things that would definitely help me in near future. We have two fests, first is ‘Noor’, which happens during Diwali and second is ‘Tarang’, which is a three day annual fest. I personally enjoyed a lot during these fests. So overall, I love my college life a lot.
