My life currently at Graphic Era University, Dehradun

Overall Rating
Currently, I am pursuing MCA from GEU (Graphic Era University, Dehradun). The Professors are good but they mostly did their education from GEU itself so I think you don't need to worry about placements if you're good at academics or if you have some sources. The placement for B.Tech is quite good. They get a lot of opportunities to grow their wings but for MCA it's not that good. But still, it's better than most of the private colleges out there for MCA.
 

Academics Rating
The eligibility requirements are quite simple. If you have done BCA or B.Sc with Math or Computer Science, then you can take admission in this college. If you are confused about where to go after failing in NIMCET, then you should go for it and take admission here. The faculty is good.
 

Faculty Rating
The teachers are quite good but are mostly alumni of the college itself. Their way of teaching is good and most of them are friendly in nature. And yes, for MCA students, in their second semester Mr. Ghansala himself will teach you. You can Google it who Mr. Ghansala is.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we do have a placement cell in our institute. I think that they do their fair share of work for students but most of the better placements are off-campus. College will provide you some benefit if you get placed at a good package, whether it is on or off-campus.
 

Hostel Rating
They spend a lot in maintaining their hostels. That’s all I know.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is quite big. There are several different labs having superb facilities and top notch systems. There's a lot of greenery and space inside the campus. There are a total of 2 main canteens and 4-5 smaller ones.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is very good at GEU. A lot of contests are regularly organised, whether it is Hackathons, cricket or arm wrestling. And don't even mention the fests; it's one of the biggest fest in India. Overall, it's a lot of fun if you're an extrovert and outgoing kind of person. But we also have clubs and libraries for introverts.

    At GEU Dehradun, studies are made easier as when I enrolled for Engineering, I thought it would be very tough and I will be studying all day long. However, university timings are quite lengthy but after coming back, there is no touching to any of the textbooks or the laptop for studies.
