Delhi Technological University (DTU) was earlier known as Delhi College of Engineering (DCE). It is one of India’s leading engineering institutions. I joined DTU because it has a very good and rich alumni network like Vinod Dham, Vijay Shekhar Sharma - founder & CEO of PayTM, Sushant Singh Rajput and many more. Also, you should join DTU as it offers wider programs. I choose B.Tech in chemical engineering and it was worth it. The exposure I got here is of different level, and the campus gives fresh vibes daily providing a healthy environment for both academics and extracurricular activities. The campus placement is much better than other colleges at the time of recession too.

The entry requirement is to clear JEE Mains which is a nation-wide exam. The toppers of that exam generally join DTU due to its reputation. Person who studied 12th from science background are eligible to take admission in DTU along with clearing JEE main. There are program like Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical Engineering. So you are not just cramming coding and all stuff rather focusing on research too as faculty emphasises to students to focus on research too. I had a motive to join DTU because it offers chemical engineering which is offered by very few prestigious universities in India.

DTU’s faculty members are highly qualified, with many holding Ph.D from top institutions like IIT's. Faculty members are generally approachable, and students have opportunities to engage with them during and outside of the classes. However, due to high student to faculty ratio in some departments, individual attention can be a challenge at times. Some Professors are rude but most of them are supportive so yes they are going to help you in your research, publishing paper or other things.

This is the best part I could say DTU has one among the best placement cells compared to other prestigious IIT's and Govt. colleges. Many MNC's comes every year and almost every student gets placed in companies with average generally revolving around 13LPA and even more for some batches. In the current batch placement season is going good with some students securing packages upwards of 40-50 lakhs or more in the case of international offers. Top-tier companies from sectors like IT, finance, consulting and core engineering visit the campus for recruitment. Some of the highest-paying firms, such as Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs and McKinsey, often recruit from DTU. Even DTU has record of getting student placed at Apple as Apple generally does not approach even IITs for their placement season but yeah DTU and IIITH were among the ones who got Apple.

I am not a hostelite so I don’t know about the hostel. But yes building looks good from outside.

DTU's campus is well-equipped with modern labs, libraries, lecture halls and computing resources. The library has a vast collection of books, journals and digital resources. Even famous point is OAT which is famous for events and looks so green and beautiful. DTU have cafeteria and other amenities like hospital, banking system within DTU campus which makes it comfortable for students. Buildings are old but they look very astonishing due to the architecture.

The campus life at Delhi Technological University (DTU) is dynamic like it couldn't be explained, and full of opportunities for personal growth beyond academics. With a diverse student body, a wide range of extracurricular activities, a strong sense of community and around 50+ societies. Every student in Delhi must have heard about its fest called “Engifest” which is just next level as Sidhu Moose Wala, Shreya Ghosal, Sunidhi Chauhan and International Bands perform. Other than that university hosts its own TEDx event, where speakers from various industries and backgrounds share insights on technology, innovation, and personal growth. Also, DTU organises sports events like Aahvaan an annual sports festival, which includes competitions in cricket, football, basketball, and more. Adding to it, it is fully safe for girls as security is tight and you will find guards all around the campus. Even, Regular workshops and sessions on stress management, mental well-being, and career guidance are organised to support students. So yes it can be said it has best campus life
