A Truthful review about NITK, Surathkal

Overall Rating
One of the most well-known and prestigious institutes in India. I am a third year student pursuing my B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering at National Institute of Technology, Surathkal. It provides us good facilities in every aspect. The placement opportunities are very good. Both National and International companies visits to hire students.
 

Academics Rating
As per academic review, I would say that it's difficult to get a good CGPA until and unless you are really comprehensive with concepts. The labs provided to us are very good and helps us in gaining practical knowledge. Valid JEE Main score is required to get an admission here.
 

Faculty Rating
In this institute, the professors are very proficient and skilled. They are experts in their domains and their teaching method is very excellent. The resources they provide us are also very virtuous. Faculty’s here assign us with some projects which help us in understanding concepts more wisely. Our exceptional academic curriculum is also evolved by our professors only.
 

Placement Rating
The placement opportunities are provided to us which are very tremendous and top-notch.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel infrastructure and facilities provided to hostellers are up to the mark and satisfactory.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Our campus is resided in 295 acres of land. Staff club, bank with ATM, post office, hospital, guest house, cafeterias, and play ground are present within the campus. We also have an open-air theatre which can accommodate around 1000 students.
 

Campus Rating
We have over 25 student clubs. The clubs managed by the student representatives hosts a range of programs and activities. Different fests like Phoenix, Engineer, Incident, Crescendo, etc are conducted every year. Our campus also have 24/7 comprehensive security facility.

    My experience at National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal is great. There are a lot of things to do in this institute. Other than academic work it provides lots of other opportunities and activities for the student such as sports, singing and many other things.     NITK Surathkal is one of the most precious institutes. After admission, I love it very much. Firstly, the infrastructure is superb. The academic structure is also very good and is upgrading day by day with this modern world. The fee structure is very affordable. One special factor is that it has its own private beach.     I am currently a 2nd year student in B.Tech EEE branch at NITK. So coming into this institute was never decided. The story begins with a student preparing for IIT did well in MAINS have CRL 7384 but then bored and messed up in ADVANCE and ends up with a bad rank. From the ADVANCE rank I was not able to get to a good IIT so decide going for NIT instead.     NITK is the second ranked NIT after NIT Trichy. Its teachers, alumni and students make it a college worth studying in. It is located alongside the calm coastal Surathkal beach with Arabian Sea increasing its beauty. If you get any branch in NITK, it is worth preferring it over other tier 2 NITs.... Read Full Review
