PES University Electronic City B.Tech Review By Karthik Patil

Pes University Electronic City is one of the top 5 universities in Bangalore. It has the same placements and syllabus as the PES University RR campus. I personally chose this college as it was in Bangalore and had one of the best placements and has a brand name itself. Its syllabus is always updated and it’s up to date and always in with the latest advancements in the field. They provide opportunities within college placements and internships. There are very good crowding who are enthusiastic about learning new things and always highly participating in the activities of the college. There are more than 20+ clubs which are active which organize hackathons and events every week which is a great way to connect with each other and learn new things and connect with the seniors. We have 2 annuals fests in the university which is of 3 day each. Overall, this college is one of the best and always has things going on and it’s pretty chilled in compared to other colleges.

Academics in this college are very good. The admission to the college is done by KCET, PESSAT and JEE Mains. In the upcoming years it will only be through JEE mains and KCET. They offer 3 courses in campus-B.Tech, CSE, B.Tech ECE, and B.Tech, AIML. CSE is one of the flagship courses in the university. The courses are updated with the latest improvements in technology. The exams in our university are tougher as compared to other universities and we have 2 internals and 1 external in every semester and marks are divided between these three and all three contribute to final GPA. My motive to enrolling in this program was to learn and gain experience in the technical field.

The faculty members are very experienced in the particular field they are teaching. Majority of them have experience over 20+ years and are PhD holders. Their style of teaching is more based on practicality and using videos and real life examples rather than theoretical teaching and knowledge.

We have a placement cell at our institute. We have placements every single year during July- September. There are 4 types of placements and the companies coming in, they are: Dream Companies, Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3. There is an eligibility of minimum GPA for many companies and the average and median salary for batch 2023 was 12 and 11 LPA respectively.

Yes, we have residential facilities in our institute. There are 2 hostels separately for boys and girls. Amaatra hostel is primarily for girls and 1st year boys. It has the best infrastructure with good Wi-Fi and recreational facilities with some playgrounds. This hostel is 5 KM away from the college. The other hostel is in the college and it’s primarily for boys and even this has good amenities and it’s based on 3 sharing. It has a well maintained luxury college gym and all the sports grounds with 2 different messes.

We have a good infrastructure. We have one Engineering academic block with 6 floors which have 8 classes per floor. All the classes have a seating capacity of 70 students with high speed internet connectivity and have a digital board and all the required things. We have one student block which has a huge auditorium, Gym, indoor basketball ground, badminton, table tennis, squash, pool table, dart and all other indoor games. We have one hospital, medical college, nursing and pharmacy block. We have a full size cricket ground recognized by KSCA and a football ground.

Campus life in our university is pretty good. We have 20+ clubs which are active and host events regularly such as hackathons and other activities, workshops and all other things. We have 2 major annual fests every year which are Odd semester annual fest in our college and even semester in the other campus. The crowd here is very crazy and all are too enthusiastic.
