MPSTME is an engineering college under NMIMS. It’s one of the best colleges in Mumbai and I have been a part of this college since 2022. My experience has been good in this college as of now with a year to go I hope it’s going to be great throughout. The teachers here are very helpful and they teach well. I chose this particular college because it has a good name, infrastructure, and teachers. I think people should choose this college because it has quite an emphasis on practical learning and good faculty.

I am a part of EXTC which is Electronics and Telecommunications and we have a variety of courses throughout 4 years. We had practical courses like BEE (Basic Electronics Engineering), DLD (Digital Logic Design), MPMC (Microprocessors and Microcontrollers) and many more which help you understand how machines and software work and how to apply those to practical things. We also had C++ and python coding which helps us to code in software like TINA, Mat lab, etc. There are no entry requirements as such but a basic knowledge is appreciated. I took EXTC as it is a very wide scoped stream. It gives you knowledge about practical and hardware software knowledge which helps to choose an IT career or a core EXTC background. It’s a versatile field which keeps options open.

The faculties in my college are very good. They are very knowledgeable and they have good communication skills. They themselves are masters in their fields having MS or MBA or Ph.D degrees with a ton of experience. They know how to teach students using practical experiences and applications so that we can remember the things we study and relate then to the real world. The teachers are very friendly and they also give you time post college hours to help solve doubts and problems. They focus on understanding than portion completion. Overall the teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable and always ready to help.

Yes, we have a placement cell in our college which helps us in our placements. Our college has a 100 percent employment rate which is effectively made possible due to this placement cell. They try to bring in good companies and they also train the students on the necessary skills needed to keep up with the modern industry requirements. They focus on speaking skills and communication as well as the technical abilities of a student. They make sure the students perform well in interviews and help them whenever necessary.

One of the best parts on MPSTME is the infrastructure. Ours is a new building which is very recently built and it is equipped with state of the art labs and classrooms and halls. Our building has more than 50 labs which consist of Microprocessor Labs, Communication Labs, Robotics Lab, Hydraulics Lab, ARVR Lab, Computer Lab, Antenna Lab, Cyber Lab, etc. All are equipped with the latest software and programs we need to use in our subjects. The classes are also very big and have electronic smart boards for teaching which makes learning seamless. The whole building is centrally air conditioned and the corridors are wide enough. The canteen is also good. The food is okay and a bit pricey but overall quality is good. The building also has 2 seminar halls one with a seating capacity of 200 and another with a capacity of 500. The infrastructure is very good and new and is up to the mark.

MPSTME like all other NMIMS colleges have a robust college life. The students here are very friendly and help a lot. The seniors especially are very helpful and supportive of the juniors who look up to them for guidance. There are many committees operating on campus as well. There are small to big events, talks, seminars, etc. always happening in college. The whole college is cctv monitored so incidents of ragging are infinitely small. The college has various student committees like colloquium, cultural, sports, research, etc. There are council as well as non council committees that operate on campus. We also have our flagship fest Sattva which is generally in February and it is one of the best fests. From dj nights to dance parties to fancy dress competition, all happens at Sattva. Overall it’s a wonderful experience which helps you grow as a person.
