My College Life at Gargi College

Overall Rating
Gargi College is one of the top girl’s colleges in India. For me, I just wanted to study outside my own state and for my subject that is Political Science ,it seemed to be a good option. This college is a safe place for girls and you will get very comfortable. There are so many fests and amazing events which makes it even more enjoyable. My life so far has been very good. It's honestly very comforting and amazing to see girl’s college which gives so many opportunities to girls and has an amazing staff as well.
 

Academics Rating
So my course is BA (Hons.) in Political Science. The process of admission is actually very simple. You have to fill out CUET form and will have to select DU as one of your choices later and then choose the college and rank them on the basis of your want. The cut off is usually high for Hons. i.e., 700 is minimum but for category (it may wary).
 

Faculty Rating
Most of our staff is JNU graduate and some of them are also graduated from the Delhi University itself. The style of teaching is not something extraordinary but there are some teachers who make the paper mote exciting and very interesting. Our teachers provide us with study materials and are always up for clearing out confusion. They also encourage us to take part in every event.
 

Placement Rating
Our college does not have any hostel but there are plenty of affordable PGs around here.

Infrastructure Rating
Our college campus is not that big but we do have almost everything. We have a big two storey auditorium what we also call as the ‘Audi Foyer’. The college also has some 2 big computer labs and a big library. There are different blocks for each course. We also have a canteen and a café. There is printing shop inside the college and also a big play ground with a basket ball court and a tennis court.
 

Campus Rating
Our college has various clubs and takes part in every event. We have dance, singing, quiz and various other clubs. We also have our annual fest called ‘Reverie’. It is a 3 day fest with a famous singer also performing on second day. We also have out Diwali fest called Zistatva. It is day where all the students enjoy a day. We also keep having various other celebrations in our college such as Bollywood day and other stuff. The crowd is amazing since most of the students are toppers there.

    Being a part of Gargi College felt surreal and overwhelming as it is a prestigious part of the South Campus of University of Delhi. It offers a variety of Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses.
