If you want to get involved, you will not find a college better than PUMBA. PUMBA is entirely a student-driven institute. From fests to workshops, students brag maximum rights to do it the way they want. If you compare PUMBA fees with institutes that are similarly ranked or ranked close to PUMBA, there's a much difference. I was qualified to get admissions in Welingkars, but when I compared the fees and all the expenses that I would have to bear, it took me seconds to make up my mind that I would study at PUMBA. One thing that Welingkars has and PUMBA doesn't is a hostel. PUMBA does have a hostel, the university hostel, but with just 20 seats reserved for PUMBA students. Placement wise, PUMBA is good as placements were almost 100%. For internships, PUMBA provides opportunities in many hard-core government companies and not just the private participants.

Some people find MBA too challenging a course; while if I give my honest opinion, I easily found time to do all my hobbies while pursuing MBA from PUMBA. At PUMBA, you have to attend lectures, submit all your assignments on time, and give the exams, and you will have your degree. Yes, a summer internship and going for industrial training for a short period is there. However, if one says that MBA from PUMBA is hectic, then better don't do an MBA. Thus, you will become MBA get placed and that too by relaxing on the days you want to.

Making inroads for the student is the faculty's role at the college. PUMBA's faculty did precisely the same. All the faculty were passed out from IIMs, Symbiosis, NMIMS, and others. Besides that, they had at least 10-15 years of work experience as a manager in India's top companies. They taught us from scratch, and even the engineering students didn't find management subjects tough as understanding economics for an engineering student is as tough as understanding Physics for a commerce student. The faculty were held responsible if the students didn't do well, so we always got some extra attention from the faculty as a student.

The placements of PUMBA are superb without a doubt. Almost our entire batch was placed who chased placements. Nearly all the companies that had their offices or manufacturing plants in Pune were the ones who came for placements. I fell in love with the city and didn't mind a bit working in Pune for the rest of my life. The average placement was around 6 lakhs as in our group, we all had same packages even if in different companies. Bajaj Auto, Tata Motors, and others were the companies where maximum students from our batch were placed. Since I have already mentioned Welingkar's in my review, I also checked the average placements of Welingkar's in 2019, and it was 7.5. A job of 7.5 lakhs in Mumbai against a job of 5.5 lakhs in Pune. I can bet the offer from Pune is much better.

Pune University hostels have a minimal quota reserved for PUMBA students. To be precise, just 20 seats each for boys and girls. The fee is just 10k per semester but even the hostels were such only. I stayed at an apartment close to the university and just like me, many of our batch mates too stayed in a rented apartment. Pune is no short of finding a nice apartment in whichever area you want. So, if you get hostels, consider yourself lucky, or else you can easily find properties near the university at a reasonable cost.

Pune University campus is divided into North and South and PUMBA is at the northern end of the campus. A building of Department of Management Science is built with all the latest features. There's no short of budget for PUMBA as even though the university has everything of primitive era, our department building shone brighter than the stars. The university has a huge library, canteen, and a coffee shop. Many good restaurants are also close to the university, so one can have their meals at a reasonable cost at those restaurants. Commuting is never a problem as there's a bus stop right next to the university and if you tell any auto to take you to the university, they will never say no.

Life at PUMBA was more of an involvement because everything here was student driven. From fests to monitoring the development of students, students cell were in place, who took care of that. Staying the campus till long hours was fun as there are many joints inside the campus. Kiva lounge is close the campus and that was our favorite hangout spot. Pune as a whole Is lovable and so is the University campus.
