Pursuing My Bachelors from Jadavpur University

Overall Rating
My overall experience at the Jadavpur University has been good. The education quality is better than any other college. I chose this university because the fee is much lower than any private and government engineering institute. I would to say that it is the best university in terms of placements which is another reason why I got admission here. Furthermore, the university has great infrastructure with all the required amenities. It has an interactive campus environment where student can develop necessary skills for their career growth.
 

Academics Rating
The university offers a wide array of courses in different disciplines which includes 15 Engineering branches. Students need to qualify the WBJEE exam for admission in this university. Students from West Bengal get 90 % reservation and the remaining 10% seats are for non-domicile students.
The university is really affordable with a reasonable fee structure.
 

Faculty Rating
The teaching faculties in my department are mindful and energetic. The university has teaching staff from all over the country who offer high quality learning experience to students.
 

Placement Rating
The university offers excellent placement services to the students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The overall infrastructure of the university is much better when compared to private colleges. The university has one big central library and various departmental libraries. Apart from this, every department has its own lab and all the other specific amenities. It has 8 canteens which serve delicious food.
 

Campus Rating
Till now, my experience at the university has been very enjoyable. Students can be a part of different clubs. The university organises spring fests every year. In addition to this , every department has specific engagement activities which enrich campus for students.

    Jadavpur University is tier 1 university and it is better than few IIT's and NIT's. Most important thing that you get here is JU tag. Alumni network is amazing and has very helpful Senior.     It has been less than a year that I joined this university. Till now, my experience is one of mixed feelings. The placement stats of Information Technology (my branch), very less fees compared to 99.9% of engineering colleges in India, language (Bengali), and good academic culture and to be honest familiarity with the city of Kolkata were the main reasons that compelled me to join this university out of the options that I had at that time.     Our university is a tier 1 state public university with NIRF 2024 rank 12th in Engineering Category. Placement is very good (up to 100%) in some departments like Civil, Construction, Electrical, Mechanical, etc. Overall placement was 95% last year.     The overall experience of the university is superb. I'll describe each aspect in the later section but here let me give an outline of my experience. Jadavpur University offers the best ROI in India, the fees is just 2400 and getting an average placement of 10 LPA (20 LPA for CSE). There's no 75% attendance policy, 45-50% is enough.     Jadavpur University is one of the most prestigious institutions of India, particularly known for its Engineering courses. It gives a great university life experience and much boost to the carrier opportunities. It has the NIRF ranking of 12th in the year 2024.
