My Personal Opinion on SDCH Shimoga: Best One in the City

Overall Rating
I first thought that it’s a mid College but later I realised it’s a pretty good College. The faculty members are not at all egoistic. The College is very student friendly and the management is also nice. The infrastructure of this College is pretty decent and provides all the facilities to the students. The non teaching staff of this College is also very helpful and kind.
 

Academics Rating
I chose Bachelor of Dental Surgery in SDCH Shimago. I chose this course because I have a great interest in this field. For admission, the students need to qualify NEET exam and score above 450 to get a seat in this College. The academics provide both theoretical and practical learning. The exams are organised by RGUHS and there will be internal exams by the College for preparation for the main exams.
The fee of this College for me is Rs. 86,500/-. The miscellaneous fee is Rs. 50,000/- which include all the other charges such as transport fee, lab fee, etc. There will be government related scholarships which can be availed by the students.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members of SDCH Shimoga are excellent. As far as I noticed the teachers are very friendly and understanding. The faculty member have completed MDS program, Doctorate, and Ph.D. Some teachers have completed their education from this College itself. The teaching methods include PPTs, blackboard, etc. The students have great bonding with the faculty members and the teachers give special attention to each and every student. The teachers solve all the doubts of the students as soon as possible.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The Infrastructure of this College is improving day by day. It has a hospital which is considered as the main building. The hospital has 3 floors each has some departments. There are total 9 departments in the College. The third floor has classrooms, auditorium which got recently renovated, and AV hall for seminars, workshops, etc. The campus also has sports facilities such as Football ground and Volleyball court. My favorite place is the auditorium, it is amazing.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, the campus life till now has been very amazing. I have enjoyed College fests, attended seminar, conferences, and various others. The campus crowd is average. There aren’t many clubs but it organises various activities for the students like paper presentations, webinars, etc. Talking about the fest, an annual fest is organised every year for a week. I am enjoying my campus life so much in SDCH Shimoga.

This College also has well established hospital with all the facilities.     My overall experience in SDCH Shimoga is wonderful. The College has a very good patient inflow due to its location in city. Many people visit here giving it a very rich patient inflow exposure. Instead of other Dental Colleges in Shimoga, this is far better in my opinion. One of the most favourable factors that made me choose this College is that this is very near to my place, so there is no issue in travelling. The teachers present here are very experienced....
