There is full-fledged campus life in JMI with supportive faculty, and adequate connectivity. It has promising internship opportunities and an active placement cell. Infrastructure and hostels need upgrading though. Campus life is good to with various clubs and events every month.

Being a first-year B.Tech student in EECS, Jamia Millia Islamia, I found the academic environment to be supportive and engaging. Improvement in practical labs and resources would further enhance our learning experience. However, some subjects might not be practical but are still very important. Syllabus is based on NEP 2020.

My faculty here has really played a great role in my life till now. The professors are very knowledgeable and approachable, so there is always a support environment to learn and discuss open-ended topics. They relate the theoretical concept to real-life applications, which makes the material interesting and easier to understand. However, I do see that some of the faculty members can change their teaching methods to match the latest trends in education. Overall, the faculty members' commitment to our success and their expertise really make learning here a great experience especially in engineering department.

Currently, I have started visiting the placement cell, and as such, it seems quite promising. The university has an active placement cell that makes all efforts to connect students with different companies, which is encouraging. Although I am still very early in studies, it feels reassuring to see that the seniors have received placement in reputed firms, including the top IT companies and engineering sectors. As per the data that I have gathered, the average package for B.Tech graduates is around ₹6 to ₹7 Lakh Per Annum, and some students have received offers above ₹10 lakh also. It is also a luxury for the companies such as Google, Microsoft, and Amazon to come and recruit students from this campus. The placement cell also helps in preparing resume and in interview preparation. However the placements can be another set of things, I keep focusing on skill-developing and internships for specific experience. To all appearances, the first year seems to cover everything ground, but I must agree that we all view JMI placements with such great optimism as we get with each passing day of the studies.

I don't stay in the hostel but heard a lot from my friends. The university does have hostels. However, they are short of space. In many hostels, the number of students in one accommodation is more than it can take, which becomes a challenge for the ones who stay there. From what I am learning, the hostels are very basic and strategic as they are close to the campus. However, the facilities have been associated with complaints on maintenance as well as cleanliness. Hence availability of rooms is lacking. The demand for these hostels is high whereby students face a lot of problems trying to get a seat especially in their first year.

The infrastructure of university is fine. However, it has quite a big room for improvement as the university stands much high. In my point of view, JMI can avail us with much better facilities by bring improvements in classrooms, enhancement of visual aids, and climate control facilities.

The campus life, academics, extra-curricular activities, and social events here are pretty nice. Students with a diversity of backgrounds come together to learn and grow harmoniously. There's just something extra to be found on campus about cultural festivals and technical events, which actually forms a significant portion of it. There are so many clubs and associations catering to all types of interests, from sports to literature, where each student finds his or her place. Events such as fests and competitions encourage each one to show our talent and make memories that will last a lifetime. The academic load can be enormous, but there's always that close-knit peer support system and professors easily approachable if things get a bit rough. Library areas or study corners become excellent places for group discussions or quite time.
