Faculty of Law JMI New Delhi: A Place to Pursue your Dream

Overall Rating
My overall experience in Faculty of Law JMI New Delhi until now is very good. The faculty is ranked 5th in NIRF ranking 2024, and the overall ranking is 3rd. The overall placement is quite good with the good number of people having cracked civil Services and judiciary different Moots. Teachers are highly qualified and experienced with organizing moots like intra faculty, national moot, conferences, and paper presentations.
 

Academics Rating
I am pursuing B.A.LL.B (Hons.) and I want to join judicial services in future to serve the country and serve the needy people and make the justice accessible. There is exam known as JMI LAW entrance with 150 marks question and each question carries 1 mark and 0.25 negative marking. Exam in once in year.
For academic year 2025-26, there are two batches 60 for regular batch with the fee of Rs. 15,000 per annum and SF batch has fee of Rs. 60,000 per annum. There is proper library and complete fee structure available online. There are many scholarships also available for financially weak students.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty is highly qualified and experienced and many of them studied from NALSAR, NLSIU, and AMU. The teachers are highly cooperative and every class has PPT. My overall experience with faculty has been good and teacher is very cooperative and supportive in giving LOR, NOC for doing internships at various places.
 

Placement Rating
There is proper placement cell with active placement and people have been placed in law firms like Shardul, Khaitan, and A&Z Partners, etc. The cell contacts with the companies and there is proper interview call if you are selected. Companies like Khaitan, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Fox, and Mandal associates etc. are the companies that visit. Average package in 10 LPA and highest is 19 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
We have a hostel facility with very good food both for vegetarian and non-vegetarian people. Apart from that, the college has free Wi-Fi, cool drinking water, and games are allowed in the hostel with proper CCTV cameras and guards. There is as such no restriction for going out in boys hostel while in girls is 10 pm. Hostel fee is Rs. 39,000 per annum including stay and food.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus is of 251 acre with north and south campus divided with full greenery and big auditorium. Sports complex with basketball, volleyball, football, etc. facilities also available. Canteen food is good and reasonable and classrooms are ventilated. In addition, there is each lib for each department. The guards and security is very tight and nearest metro station is Jamia metro with holy family hospital nearby. People are from different states and RCA for civil services is also there. There is a moot court room, a separate library with more than 5000 books, and online access to various journals.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life is good with good experience until now. I have done few moot and participate in various conferences and done internships. There are various clubs at university level and there is fest season for each department. There are total of around 20k students in physical. Various committees and NCC camp facility are available. Good and great experience till now.

    My overall experience in Jamia Millia Islamia is fantastic. We got to know people from all over the country practicing unique culture. It is absolutely adventurous thing to do. Moreover the aesthetic Jamia campus is like cherry on top. The learning process and experiencing things here will be the best time of your life.     Jamia Millia Islamia University has very unique and good experience. It is one of the best universities in India. Its NIRF ranking is also 3rd in India.     Since my childhood I wanted to get admission is Jamia University as it has always been one of the best Institutes all over in India. More over science was my favorite subject and I wanted to explore it so I decided to fill the admission form and give the entrance exam and luckily I got selected.
