Few people get confused with Dayananda Sagar University Kumarswamy layout with this college but this is another branch of that Dayananda Sagar University which is located near Art of Living in Off Kanakapura road, however this college is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. This is the only college with NAAC accreditation from 3 years. Admission process is made easy by the management staffs as they guide you in each step. There are three ways to get the admission in this college; one is by Karnataka Common Entrance Examination conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority after your 12th grade or Pre-University. Second is by COMED-K rank and the last way is by paying directly to the college which is called management seat.

Being an Electronics and Communication student we will be kept in so isolated and strict environment by our faculties of ECE department. They focus more on your results than the hands on experience you have on the subject. Of course this is one of positive point but in some cases this couldn't justify the academics example when you come outside of the campus and try for jobs, you will be sitting in front of the interviewer by knowing only definition of the topics you have learnt not the knowledge of them. But overall you will have the exposure to learn whatever you want while you are in college, which boost your chances to be placed in top MNC companies. Your results in the exams will be good when you follow lecturer's guidance.

There are approx 15 faculties in ECE department and more than 100 faculties in our college. Everyone have immense experience in teaching and industrial experience with Masters in their subject and few had done their Doctorate too. When we talk about their teachings, there are faculties who teach like schools where we understand clearly and there are few lecturers who teach like it is college where we need to concentrate more on their lectures like being pro-active while sitting in the class. Our college is just like a school where you find most of the lecturers are like school teachers who take care their students like their own. This is one of the advantage or pro of our college.

There is a separate placement cell in our college like all other colleges. When it comes to placements, they concentrate more on our interpersonal skills which way far better than other colleges. Each semester we do have a complete day where they teach us the interpersonal skills from the department of Centre for Innovation Learning which is based in our main branch that is Dayananda Sagar University. They teach us from scratch which helps us become man as I have given the title. Here in these sessions we would be guided to become not just an employee but the boss of the company. This I haven't heard in any other colleges. They bring out your talent and innovative ideas in their sessions and those classes worth. These help in placements a lot. The average package would be like 4.5 lacks pa with more than 85% placements.

My favorite place in the campus is hostel. Boy's hostels are in two numbers and a one girl's hostel. Food will be very good, you will be provided with North and South Indian breakfast with Coffee/Tea and lunch in the afternoon and Snacks in the evening with Coffee/Tea followed by dinner with immense items. Non-veg will be provided on Wednesday and Sunday in the dinner. When it comes to quality, the best quality food, as I have seen many other hostels. But the food in our hostel is best. Fees will be nearly 1 lack per year. Safety of students is much concerned in both hostels.

Our college is built beautifully in a small area of land with completely garden everywhere and u will find steps in your ways. There are separate buildings for each branch or departments. Architecture block is too nice and extraordinary one to see. We have a separate building for library where we have very good ambience to study and there are separate cabins to study which helps architecture students to draw and have a stationary store in the same building. Our college has an amphitheatre and an auditorium too. College has gym and indoor badminton court with a medical emergency room. There is a cafeteria but the food is not up to the mark there honestly. We do not have a huge playground like other college which is the drawback however we have an outdoor basketball court where we play more cricket than basket ball. Well equipped laboratories and mechanical workshops are plus points. Campus have good amount parking space.

There are few indoor games conducted within our department while in the departmental fest. College fest is done normally with arrival of any celebrity as the chief guest. Ganesh chaturthi will be performed very grandly for three days. The four years of your where you turn yourself to be a man in this campus by your experiences and the lessons you learn over there.
