The NIT Trichy lives up to its brand name. The experience I had there in two years of MBA is something that I cannot describe in words. All those committee & clubs, department fest & University fest every month gave me a unique experience every time. You should definitely consider NIT if you get admission here.

For admission in MBA, CAT exam is a must. There is no sectional cut-off, for general category 80%ile + is good to go. Based on the cumulative of your CAT score and 10th, 12th, graduation CGPA you can get admission. The fees is very less as compared to other 2 Tier colleges.

The faculty members are well educated and are very experienced. They help you understand the practical application of what all is discussed in the class. Also, they are very supportive & helpful. They support you in academics as well as with any other problem. They make it very easy to understand all the concepts.

Placement scenario if we compare it with previous years has definitely declined due to the market situation but still ROI is very good. It used to have almost 100% placements in previous years. Today it is around 85%. Many prominent companies visit the department for placements like Adani, TVS, Infosys, Genpact, Wipro, Ford, General Mills, Nielsen IQ, etc. The average package is around 7 LPA.

Yes, there are so many hostels in the Institute with all the basic facilities like fan, table and chair in a room along with the common restroom and washing machine. The hostels are different for boys and girls and are divided into single, double and triple occupancy. It also has playing area for badminton, basketball and other indoor games. Hostel life should be experienced once in life, it gives you unforgettable experience and much learnings. In girl’s hostel the entry is restricted after 9:30pm on weekdays and 10:15 pm for weekends. You have to give attendance/roll-call in your hostel every day.

The NIT campus is spread in around 800 acres. You have to buy bicycle in order to travel from hostel to department otherwise it will be very hectic. The infrastructure is so beautiful. It has temple, hospital, cafe and all other facilities are available in the campus itself. All the departments have their own building and it has AC’s. The beauty of the campus is well captured in its structure.

The campus life as I mentioned was unforgettable. You will cherish all those memories forever. The fests happen almost every month and people from other colleges also come to participate in the events & activities organized. Some of the known fests include - Fest ember, NITTFEST, Pragyan and other departmental fests. Many known singers like Darshan Raval, Neeti Mohan, and Deepak Kumar, etc. are invited. Also, people from various fields are invited for the events. It happens for almost a week and monitorial prizes can be earned by participating & winning the event.
