Overall experience at Vivekananda college for women, University of Delhi is decent. It has a nice, big and beautiful campus. The faculty members are helping and are not strict at all. This makes it easier to survive under academics pressure when teachers provide you full support. The Infrastructure of the college is mediocre. The classrooms are big but the furniture is out dated but in good condition. The computer labs are big and are in functioning state. There are 5 labs. The hygienic conditions of the college are average.

The course objectives are mostly nice. Speaking of my own course objective that is Bachelors of Arts in computer science and economics. There is one major subject that you are supposed to choose according to your vision and capabilities and one minor. The major subject out of the two is then divided into two which gives you a broader horizon of learning. The computer science department provides you with interesting subject choices and can train you to be a developer and a machine learning expert. The faculty is moderately helpful and the academic competition is negligible.

The faculty of the college is less in terms of student ratio. One teacher usually teaches 2 subjects to the minimum. The faculty does not encourage competition among students which can help them prepare for their course and train them better. Other than that the faculty is helpful and is not rude or ignorant at all. Majority is not rude but sweet and helpful. There are mid semester projects that are in the course prospectus of the University of Delhi. There are internal practical for practical subjects are internal tests for theory subjects. Then there are externals for the same. Then comes the final theory exams that go on for a month.

Placement cell is functioning but not that efficient. Only a few can get placed in good companies. You should have a good CGPA in order to secure a decent, if not great, job. The placement cell is not so active and there are minimal internship opportunities that come to light.

There is no hostel in Vivekananda College.

Starting with the buildings, they are great and provide a great aesthetic look to the students. It has great infrastructure along with all other factors. There is a lot of greenery in the college and an eco friendly environment. The classrooms and big but the desks and seats are old fashioned. The washrooms are average.

The campus life is negligible as there are only two small fests organized around the year. The fests organized include, Meraki and Pallavi. The crowd is decent sized and not much of other attractions around the campus. The societies are not functioning all the time and do not have work most of the time. Only some of them provide you with certificates.
