The B.Sc nautical Science course is for becoming future captain that is deck side. The minimum eligibility to pursue this course is one should have PCM and must secure minimum of 60 percent. Alongside he/she must and pass IMU entrance exam. Then the Tolani Maritime Institute had its own entrance exam known as the TMI SAT. The students need to clear that too.

    Tolani Maritime Institute is a good college and one of the best colleges in India for Merchant Navy. It has good architecture and good facilities which help the cadets to study practically well in all subjects. As for the academics, it's pretty decent I would say. Teachers are good and experienced and they have been teaching for 10-15 years minimum. As for other services, hostels are clean and tidy.     As of now I'm in my first year and I'm still getting used to things but so far I've been enjoying my time in Tolani Maritime Institute with all the friends I've made here. I chose this particular institute because it is the best in the country for merchant navy in general. There are other institutes in the country as well but the quality of the faculty and college can only be understood ones you experience it.
