Amazing college experience

Overall Rating
The college provides excellent academic as well as socio-cultural activities. The curriculum is thorough with each topic covered in depth in accordance with the current trend. The institute has good clubs and sports facilities with a multi-sport venue for sports like tennis, swimming, badminton, squash and other facilities are also maintained well. The faculty has a friendly, approachable attitude and is very knowledgeable. The infrastructure is good.
 

Academics Rating
We have many programs such as Computer Science Engineering, Information Science and Mechanical Engineering that you can find on RVCE's website. We can get admission through either COMEDK or KCET (common entrance examinations). Students can also get admission by Management Quota. Being one of the most elite colleges in Karnataka, its eligibility is highly academic oriented. RVCE has a very well-defined and well-structured curriculum.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties of this college are very knowledgeable and approachable. There are multiple Ph.D holders who are working in this college. They have a lot of years of experience and provide a lot of opportunities and projects to work under them. If you attend all of the classes, then it will be really easy to understand the topic and score well in the exam as well as have in-depth knowledge about the subjects.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have a Placement Cell in our institute, and they are really helpful in getting the right companies and the big companies. This year even Apple hired from RV College which was a big accomplishment for the Placement Cell.
 

Hostel Rating
We have residential facilities at our college. There are 2 hostels for boys and 3 for girls in sharing. The college has hostel residential timing for boys and girls. The boys have curfew at 10:00 PM and the girls have it before 6:00 PM though it extends till 7:00 for certain occasions. The infrastructure of the hostel is well-maintained and there is a recreational area at the centre of the boys' hostel, but I am not sure about the girls' hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
At RV College of Engineering, the campus is under security and each department has its own building. As you enter the college, there will be a Civil Engineering department then we have Computer Science Engineering (ECE) department. There are canteen facilities such as one small Mingo's outlet and another Mingo's which has a bigger outlet and has a huge capacity for students. Recently, the institute inaugurated a library, and it has a five-floor building with a good number of books and modern infrastructure.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus life here is very friendly and welcoming even for the people from far away from the city as well as for non-residential Indians or NRI. There are various socio-cultural clubs like an Alaap, E-Cell Rotaract and others which are a great place to engage with other likeminded people. The college’s biggest fest happens once every 2 years, annually there is another fest conducted by E-Cell is E-Summit which is a grand event and a good place to interact with people of this college as well as other colleges who participate.

    RVCE is a very well-known and respected institute of Bangalore. Since I have been living in Bangalore for the past 13 years it was on my list. I chose RVCE because the placement statistics were really impressive, and it is situated in the IT hub Bangalore. However, after joining the college I realized how placement oriented the college is and how much academic pressure they can put.     I personally like every aspect of the college, right from their curriculum to their faculty. There are many opportunities for students aspiring to be great engineers.
