The NorthCap University BBA Review By Harsh Bhatt

The University is known or regarded for engineering, but it isn't a bad choice for a BBA either. My two biggest pluses for the University are academics and faculties. No question at all for both the parts as good academics and faculties together made us do loads and loads of things that gave me a fair idea of how the industry functions. Everything here can be a two-speed thing because at the start things went slow, but come to the end, things turned mighty faster. Great academics provide solidity to our learning, and I don't think one can ask for anything else once the academics are sorted. Yes, we went to College for some fun, and it was there too, as Gurgaon now is ahead of DU Colleges in terms of activities. I have been a great admirer of fruitful learning and, more than that, the longevity that academics provide in one's life. I rate NorthCap University right up there with the famous DU Colleges.

For BBA, the minimum percentage required is 60% as students below that had to pay extra fees, so the students with a decent academic background were a part of the University. Academics lifted the spirit as the old classroom learning hardly existed here. Projects, Ted Talks, Podcasts, and industrial visits were a part of our course, like the engineering students. So, academics were made a little tougher but put together, the outcome, I would say, was worth it. Academics provided us liberty because the 1st year had too many subjects, and if we weren't comfortable, we were allowed ATKTs for three subjects until we entered the final year.

Faculties at NorthCap University like to open up right from the start as they have been doing this time and again. As a student, I was scared to mingle with them, but they made me feel so comfortable that there were few things that they were looking for and ensured that they got that out of us. One such thing was stage fear, as BBA students will be presenting forecasts and projects on stage, and to make sure the students of the University do that with ease in the future, the faculties made us come on stage and present our projects. So, I had a stage fear until I was in school, but came to University, that vanished entirely from my dictionary. No chocolates for guessing because of whom it happened to, because it happened for good.

Not even half of the students were placed, and that's a little drawback. I would say that the University had. Students who got themselves placed worked harder than the ones who couldn't find placements. The University didn't help us find an internship, but they were open to giving NOC if we wanted to do an internship. Gurgaon and the nearby area had a lot of industries and many of which also came for campus placements. So, those who sincerely put in efforts were placed, and those who couldn't may not have done their bit.

The selection dilemma for sure is something that will happen at hostels of The NorthCap University. There is a wide range of hostels and hostel rooms. From single AC rooms to non-AC rooms. From accommodating shared spaces to veg and non-veg food. So, the hostels were good, and students from all around the country came and studied here. From what I know, all of them were comfortable at the hostels, and that is what one needs at the end of the day. So, hats off to the University for providing great living space to the students who stay at the hostels.

The campus gate is a bang, and what is inside that is a super bang. The roads are fantastic, and I so wish that Gurgaon roads too were at least 50% of the kind of roads that we had at the campus. The drainage was kept in check so water could be seen logged on the streets of Gurgaon but not inside the campus. The buildings have every facility that one can name. There are many food joints and sports facilities to have some fun on the campus. So, the infrastructure of NorthCap University was built keeping in mind the academics and the entertainment part.

Campus life is an ensemble of everything, and I have reviewed every part. If it's about the activities that happened at the campus, then trust me, you will again be spoilt for choice. Expecting much from campus life can be exasperating, but not at NorthCap University. The student committee will take all the feedback and advice, and fests will often see new faces. The management people and the faculties themselves ensured that maximum students participated so that students get to feel high on the campus.
