USME, DTU can be referred as a perfect blend of academics and fun. Everything is intertwined with each other in almost perfect nature. I am enrolled in BA in Economics (Hons.) course and I am grateful to be here, honestly. Other than this, a society of college is another factor, which makes this campus beautiful and attractive. Case studies, group discussions, treasure hunts, and many more activities are organized by all societies, which makes campus environment enthusiastic and provides a vibrant energy to students. Seniors are so much fun, interacting with them and making connections drives this campus vibe.

This course is perfectly structured with Economics and Data Science and Management. Here alongside, we are offered with minor specialization in either Data Science or Management, which contributes to success of this course. Subjects in various semesters complete the study of economics in the most efficient manner alongside skill development of students in these fields, which are growing at a faster rate and whose demand is increasing.

Professors in University School of Management & Entrepreneurship have been Deans of famous reputed institutes and some have been awarded by precious academic awards in the field of research and innovations. For example, introductory microeconomics professor Mr. KV Bhanumurthy Sir has been Dean of Commerce department of Delhi School of Economics for 17 years and has teaching experience of 50+ years. Our basic Mathematics and Statistics professor Mr. Ashok Mittal Sir has been dean of Aligarh Muslim University and has teaching experience of 40+ years. Professors here have their own published books and research papers. Faculty deep insights about world of economics and commerce engage students towards more depth of this course and make their study more interesting. Their real life world examples help students understand economics models in a more enhanced and better way.

Currently, placement statistics of east campus are building its reputation. Like last year, the mean package was 8 LPA with highest bagged package being 21 LPA. Placement rate is almost 95% with average package ranging between 4 to 8 LPA. Although, internships opportunities are very good. After 5th semester, many companies come to give summer internships opportunities to students. Companies like Deloitte, Accenture, HSBC, Razorpay, etc. arrive on board for placements. We have an in-house placement cell, which prepares student for placement opportunities.

We do not have hostel facilities at east campus but it is available at main campus, which is a 1-hour drive from east campus and by metro, it saves additional 15-20 minutes. Hostel at main campus is completely awesome. Mess food is also nice, alongside you get GYM facility, common room, recreation room, laundry services. All amenities are taken care of completely. You get sports facilities also with racing track, cricket pitch, volleyball, and basketball court and many more other extra benefits.

Infrastructure facilities are excellent. East campus comprises of 3 blocks and a small garden along with a canteen, Nescafe outlet and volleyball area. First block is old building block, second is main building, and last is academic block. All the blocks are air conditioned with lift facility available in main building. Proper drinking water and sanitation needs are being properly taken care of. Library is at first floor of main building with almost 80-90 students seating capacity.

Overall, campus life is fun. Yes, it could more engaging, changes are being made, and east campus is moving towards expansion, making campus vibe more vibrant. One major constrain is land area i.e. only 3 acres. Regular fests and competitions in both campuses makes student college life interesting and happy. DTU’s main campus fest - Engifest is one of the largest fest of India’s colleges.
