USME New Delhi: Perspective of a 1st year Student

Overall Rating
If you are looking for an academic oriented university with good faculty and numerous educational opportunities then USME is the right stop. Moreover, your college life will be mostly determined by your batch mates, so I cannot comment on that.
 

Academics Rating
I am pursuing graduation in Economics. The requirement is have Math in 12th grade with overall 50%. Admission is granted through CUET marks. It has plenty of seats so it is not that hard to get admission here. Talking about the quality of education here, it is fabulous and of top-notch quality. My motive of pursuing course in university is that it has an industry relevant syllabus.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty in USME is excellent with good experience in teaching. Their style of teaching varies from subject to subject. Nonetheless, I can say they teach with medium pace making sure all the students grasp the concept. Talking about their background, many of professors either have a Doctorate degree or are currently pursuing their PhDs. They also persuade raising the doubt in doubt classes as well as encouraging interaction as well.
 

Placement Rating
I don’t that much knowledge about placement as I am in1st semester but I have seen students submitting internship reports. So I guess university is serious about students being placed. In addition, students are hard working to secure internship. Looking from placement point of view,
it's a good university.
 

Hostel Rating
I do not live in university hostel, so I cannot comment on the same. However, there are plenty of PGs and rooms for accommodation in the nearby area.
 

Infrastructure Rating
USME does not have big campus. It just consists of academic blocks, main building, EDC, a canteen, and volleyball court with basketball court is to be installed soon. There is also a stationary shop in the campus. There are good computer labs and library with free Wi-Fi. Buildings are well maintained as well as cleaned. Lift is also available in main building. Campus has little garden space with a huge Indian flag.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is average in USME. We have to go to main campus in Rohini (we are allowed though) in order to attend events and fests. University can organize more engagement activities. One of the best attractions here is ‘Yamuna sports complex’. Crowd is good here with people from different ethics and cultural backgrounds.

    USME is affiliate to DTU which is well known for its excellent academic facilities. The surrounding areas are comparatively better than other universities.     USME, DTU can be referred as a perfect blend of academics and fun. Everything is intertwined with each other in almost perfect nature. I am enrolled in BA in Economics (Hons.) course and I am grateful to be here, honestly. Other than this, a society of college is another factor, which makes this campus beautiful and attractive.
