The biggest force of RCOE is education as for four years in a row we had a little extra from the previous years. Student intake has increased in a few years and therefore placements have become challenging here, but RCOE is on track for it. We all need a good luck charm every now and then, don't we, and RCOE was that good luck charm for me. As a student, things got working for us as we left the College on the back of some quality education that has helped immensely during PG course. If the wave of Engineering College is at its hay days, then RCOE was the crest for the surfers who wanted to ride into engineering. I have got a feeling and I am high on believing in things that can work for you if you want them to. There were a few things which misfired at RCOE, but overall, I was completely happy with RCOE.

Good academics and good faculties make a potent firing for any Institute. Education here was no nuts and bolts as one could leave everything behind but not the education. No one can uncomplainingly feel like a god at RCOE, at least with education. Good faculties have allowed RCOE to get the perfect balance because, considering the number of students, the faculties were indeed less. The lunch break for the entire episode of the day was the only time to relax as we rested; other times, we had classes and other stuff to keep us engaged for the whole day. A gun all around the education system is what prevails in RCOE and one has to keep their chin up to ensure they are not left behind.

I have already written a lot about faculties, but in one word, if I had to write about them then it would be guns and nothing else. It doesn't matter one jot if a College doesn't have good faculties. Faculties drive the education at RCOE as it must be the case with all the Colleges. I have had really good terms with many of my faculties and all credit goes to them because they were happy with the students who approached them with doubts. So, in true sense, the faculties were the right engines of RCOE, as they made RCOE an open road and used to drive at over 200 km per hour.

Companies like HCL Tech, HP, Tech Mahindra, TCS, and Samsung have come with a lot of hopes and our batch didn't disappoint them at all. Placing 70% of the batch considering the number of students that they have was amazing. The placement cell approached us and did their best to make sure that maximum students got placed. Placements of around 7-8 lakhs were done with most students. Some students had offers worth 20 lakhs and even more. Placement-wise RCOE is one of the best Colleges as not many Colleges, at least in our region, have such placement figures.

Hostels are for outsiders as being a resident; we had no right to avail the hostel facilities. The hostel rooms are apartment-styled and there are three kinds of rooms in all. In all, there were two boys hostel Bhawans, and a girls hostel Bhawan, inside the campus. The hostel capacity is great as including boys and girls, nearly 1000 students used to stay in the hostels. The food quality of the hostel was manageable as there were separate messes in all three hostels and a committee was formed that looked after the food quality and all.

A campus of around 20 acres and accommodating around 2000 students looked full in the evening as most classes used to get over by evening. Infrastructure of the College is aging like a fine night because upgrades and updates are happening every now and then. While I was studying all the buildings got painted and a couple of new labs were set-up. The air-cooled canteen was not enough, and that's why many students rushed off-campus for food as soon as the lunch break happened. The College is located on the highway and the Patanjali Yogpeeth is just 5-6 miles from our College. Having CCTV is a common practice these days, but still, the College has followed the norms for the security of their students. An ATM has made up for all our cash needs inside the College because QRs and all were things of the future back then.

I saw many people going in imaginary mode and talking to their imaginary friends, punching in the air because surprise tests and all kept happening, and the ones who had scored well did these things. The College is more protective about its education, but that is not the whole story because there are many other departments in the College and festivities keep happening at regular intervals.
