Campus Life and Facilities at Vidyalankar Institute of Technology Mumbai

The Overall environment of the college, Vidyalankar Institute of Technology is nice. All the faculty members including other staffs other than my subject are also nice in behavior. They help in academics as well as other extra curriculum activities. What made me choose this college is its autonomous recognition. All the academic activities are conducted by the college itself. The Syllabus includes Exam Papers that are also set by the college itself. The college is located in the premium location in Mumbai, Wadala. To reach the college it's just 10 min bus ride from the Wadala station. The Facilities provided by the college are also nice. The facilities provided include canteen, Den for playing indoor games, a nice ground for outdoor games and other facilities. There are also events that are conducted in the college. Very Popular internet personalities like Dynamo Gaming were invited to the campus last time. The only drawback I would say is that the college doesn't have hostel for students from far locations. Other than that all facilities are superb. The college environment is always pleasant and Happy.

Admissions are allowed through CAP Round Only on the basis of your CET/JEE Cutoff. There is DSE (Direct Second Year) Option for Diploma Students who are admitted directly to second year through CAP (diploma cutoff). There is Seat Matrix according to which seats are allotted to the Different Caste Students. The fee varies amongst the different caste categories. The fee for the Bachelors Degree is around 150k. The Admissions to the particular course is done only through CAP Round conducted by CET Cell.

All the faculty members have done their masters from prestigious Institutes. They have teaching experience of minimum 5-6 years. Some faculties also have experience of more than 10 years. The HOD of my Department has a Ph.D degree in Computer Engineering. They all have keen interest in teaching. I would say that they love teaching, except for a few. They have thorough knowledge of the subjects they are teaching. They also don't mind asking doubts in person. They all are really nice.

We have Placement cell at Vidyalankar Institute of Technology. The last year's highest package was 12 LPA. The Tech Giants such as JIO, Godrej, TCS, and Capgemini visit our campus often. Our college also provides the prior placement training with the trained personnel. It makes the students face the interview with confidence. The internship opportunities were also shared with us.

No, VIT does not have residential facilities for the students.

The main building of the college is Engineering Marvel. At once it does not look like an engineering college building. It looks like something fascinating. The Classrooms are Air Conditioned, with smart board in every room. All the Classrooms are cleaned and the hygiene is maintained very properly. The Washrooms are also very clean and neat. There lift facility is also available for students. The campus also has Vending machines, V-print for the students to print their documents. The mess is open any time for snacks and lunch. There is separate Canteen for Chinese food which is pure veg. We have Den, which has many indoor games including Carom, Gaming PC's for Computer Games, and Foose Ball table, table tennis, ball pool, etc. In our campus we have three different buildings, the main building for bachelor's students, and the one for polytechnic students i.e. Diploma Students and the third one for B.Sc and M.Sc Students.

The daily life at Vidyalankar Institute of Technology is engaging, with events and all other things. There is usually less crowd in fests, but the annual function of the college is held in February each year. In this different fests and activities are carried out. All the Students including faculties participate in the fests. It's a 7 day fest. All the Students enjoy those days. Talking about the clubs, we have different clubs for different activities like for Coding enthusiasts we have CSI VIT. For sports persons we have Sports Club, For Singing and dancing we have different clubs, for photography. We also have clubs here. Students join these clubs and fulfill their desire.
