My Overall Experiences at University of Rajasthan, Jaipur

Overall Rating
University life is average. The placement opportunities are less here but it gives good knowledge about subjects. Students are mostly from Jaipur so less diversity of students. Guards and CCTV cameras are there for security purpose. I will suggest this university if you want to pursue graduation degrees and not professional degrees. Overall good for studies but you will have to work on your skills all by yourself.
 

Academics Rating
I chose Master of Arts in Economics because of my interest in particular field. There is a PG entrance test taken by University of Rajasthan for admission. Exams are conducted semester wise. Once you write entrance, cut off list with selected student name is released by University of Rajasthan. Academics taught here are fine. I found it useful in my competitive studies. They teach from basics to students who are having less of basic knowledge so that they can understand the topics properly.
Fees here are the biggest green flag. It’s affordable if someone wants to study having fewer budgets. Fee was just Rs. 6,000 – Rs. 7,000 at my time.
 

Faculty Rating
Some of the faculties had done their Ph.D and some were pursuing it. Teachers there were chill and good with students. They give fewer loads as they know all students are doing something at side also. There were no major classes. The teachers use to teach through PPT and blackboards. There were 2 teachers for 80 students. So teacher student ratio is about 1:40.
 

Placement Rating
No major placement opportunities are provided for my course at University of Rajasthan. Internships are provided but they rarely select the students for placement. The packages offered were not that high.
 

Hostel Rating
There were different hostels in campus. I was a day scholar but my friends had different reviews for hostel. Some liked it and some didn’t.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus is located in busy area of Jaipur at JLN Marg which connects famous WTP mall and all. Campus is spread in wide area. Some classes have large capacity and some had less but average class’s capacity was about 110 students. Library was nice with no disturbance. Auditorium was there for organising cultural fest but majorly programs were held in university ground as student’s number was higher than the auditorium capacity. Canteen was cool, overall hygienic and had normal price.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life at University of Rajasthan was good. If you are an extrovert you can interact with people from different fields and backgrounds as University of Rajasthan offers many courses with different fields like arts commerce, arts, and science. There are different students clubs that are not so active and are controlled by the seniors. I would say that it is a budget friendly university and is a good option if you have plans or if you are doing something on the side. Overall, if I talk about my experience I would say that I had a decent experience at University of Rajasthan.

    This is the number one University of Rajasthan. Its geographical condition is good but it just needs some improvement in its building structure.     I'm pursuing B.Com in commerce college which comes under Rajasthan University. I chose this university because I'm pursuing a professional degree along with it and it offers an option for distance education.     Considering that fact that this university is regarded as one of the most prestigious institutions of the state, University of Rajasthan offers a vast variety of options to explore upon for students like me.   • Decent college for skill development.

    My experience in University of Rajasthan is quite decent, however did had few backlashes in terms of quality education. The courses which I took included accounting, finance and business studies related subjects, which were taught by knowledgeable facilities, even though they may not cooperate, at times.
