RRU Ahmedabad B.Tech CSE Cyber Security Inside Look

I chose Rashtriya Raksha University over other Universitys due to the course it provides which is B.Tech CSE with specialization in Cyber Security. This course is focused on topics like Cryptography, Network Security and Ethical Hacking which is highly demanding in today's digital world. This curriculum prepares the students for real world challenges like Cyber attacks, Cyber threats etc. We have a clean well-maintained environment. The campus is open 24*7 with Wi-Fi. This University provides good opportunities in Cyber Security firms and in government agencies which make it different from other Universities.

The course chosen by me at Rashtriya Raksha University is B.Tech CSE with specialization in Cyber Security. It is a unique course which is available at very less Universities. This course is focused on topics like Cryptography, Network Security, Ethical Hacking which is highly demanding in today's digital world. This curriculum prepares the students for real world challenges like Cyber attacks, Cyber threats, etc. The entry in this University is completely through JEE Main and you must have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in your class 12th. The JEE Main cut off for this University is around 94%ile. There are two exams per semester which are Mid Semester and End Semester.

The course fee at Rashtriya Raksha University is Rs. 82,500 per semester which is Rs.1,65,000 per year. The caution money is Rs.10,000. Other charges like development fee, lab fee, etc. are minimal and are included inside the course fees. There is no fee waiver or scholarship on the basis of category unlike IIT’s or NIT’s. Hence, the fee of all my batch mates is same. There is exam-based scholarship for all students at RRU. Top 5 % students get 100% scholarship, next 5% get 75% and the following 5% receives 50% scholarship.

The faculty to student ratio is quite good here. The faculties can be approached easily. Students can easily contact their faculties at any time. Professors like Dr. Chandresh Parekha and Dr.Nitin Padariya have a great teaching method. They connect theoretical knowledge and practical applications wisely. Majority of them are Ph.D holders and have a great experience in industries and educational fields. The course consists of eight semesters that is four years. Each semester have two exams which are Mid-Sem and End-Sem. The final marks include internal, assignments, projects, viva and the written exam's marks. Around 5% students face difficulty to clear their exam often due to lack of attendance.

The placement of Rashtriya Raksha University is good. In fact the placement rate is much good. Around 85-90% students get placed through campus drives. Other students either opt for higher studies or pursue for certifications like CEH, CISSP, etc. Students become eligible for campus placements in their 7th Semester. Companies like TCS, Amazon, Wipro, Infosys and Cyber Security firms visits the campus and offer good packages. The average package of this University is around 8 lakh. The highest package is 18 LPA and still counting. The profile offers includes Cyber Security Analysts, Network Security Engineers, etc. I aim to secure a Cyber Security role in top MNC's and further enhance my skills through advanced certifications.

We have a clean well- maintained rooms with 24/7 Wi-Fi facility. They provide us with a bed, study table, study lamp, chair, wardrobe, etc. We have the availability of hot and cold water for 24/7. The hostel food is quite good in comparison to other Universities. It is providing us nutritious meals with a rotating menu including breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. Students can apply for hostel accommodation during admission or at the starting of each semester. Hostel fees are reasonable. Rooms and PG are available in Dhegam at low price. However it is advised to hold inside the campus only. Yes, the girls and boys hostels are separate. The food is quite hygienic. We get 4 meals a day including breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. There is a strict timing that you have to arrive before 10 pm at the campus and you cannot go out after 8:30 pm.

The library of our University is accessible for 24/7 allowing students to study at late night. Gym has a fixed timetable that is only accessible in day time. The whole campus includes a cafeteria that is open 24/7. The hostels are clean and are equipped with 24/7 Wi-Fi facility, hot and cold water, etc. We have famous hangout places like Lakeside area, Lake cafe, Hostel side Cafeteria and so on. Students can leave the campus after 6:00 am and must return before 10:00 p.m. My favorite spot in my University is Lake side Cafeteria where we can sit with our friends and enjoy.

Typically two main fests are held at Rashtriya Raksha University. One is ‘Rangratri’ which is held in the month of October during Navratri celebrated for 10 days and the other one is ‘Aarambh’ which is held in the last of December or in the starting of January. The library is well stacked with large number of books, journals and research papers. We have the digital access of our library which has a wide range of e-books that are easily accessible. The classrooms are occupied with smart boards, projectors, high-speed Wi-Fi and air conditioners. Campus has a wide range of sports facilities including a large sports ground. Clubs like Qalavant, Natanam, Incubeta, GDSC, Cyber Squad, etc. are available for the students. The Non-Technical Clubs are completely run and led by the students whereas Technical Clubs are run by the students under the guidance of professors.
