PDPU Review

Overall Rating
PDPU is more famous for the petroleum branch than other branches. Other Branches such as CSE, ICT, ECE, are still emerging. PDPU is one of the best private colleges in Gujarat as compared to others. It gives a world class infrastructure and the Faculty members here are very supportive and their teaching style is very good. There are three Hostels, UG (Boys), UG (Girls) and high rise hostel (Both Girls and Boys).
 

Academics Rating
My Course is B.Tech in ICT that stands for the Information and Communication Technology. ICT is emerging branch in the field of Engineering and it is mixture of both ECE and CSE. Admission process of the College is: 50-50 percent seats are filled with JEE and ACPC (State Admission Committee). In Every Semester there are two exams. One is Mid Semester that consists of 50 marks. Other is at the end of the Semester which consists of 100 marks. Also if any faculty wishes he/she can take internal assessment in which they can take Viva or any written assignment or any project or any presentation to be given in the classroom.
Every Engineering Student has same fees which is per semester, Rs. 1,24,000. There are total of 8 Semesters. There is one time deposit of Rs. 15,000. In every four years the fees is increased by 4 thousand. There are many scholarship named as MYSY and merit based scholarships are also provided by the college.
 

Faculty Rating
All the faculty members hold the Ph.D degree from either NIT’s or IIT’s. Faculty members are very good and they also have good knowledge about the subject. Teaching style of the faculty is also very good. Teaching Method used is PPT, White board, etc. Faculties also provide the material that is useful for the exam time. Bonding between the students and the teacher is very good. Teachers are easily approachable and are ready to solve any doubt of the student.
 

Placement Rating
Placement in the Petroleum Branch is very good as compared to others. Renowned Companies such as ONGC and Reliance visit for the Petroleum Branch. Placements for the CSE, ICT, ECE are comparatively less. Renowned Companies like Infosys, Capgemini, Cognizant, Congo visits for the placements drive.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels are very good. The food quality is medium. Sometimes it is very good and sometimes it is not.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infra of the College is very good. There are total of A, B, C, D, E, F blocks in the college. C block is for the Petroleum and chemical engineering student. D block is for the liberal studies. E and F block are for the ICT, ECE, CSE, EE branches. B block is lecture hall and auditorium. A block is for the MBA student. There are total of three libraries. Campus is very green. There are sports facilities available. One Inbuilt hospital and bank. Also it has Mess and Canteen both.
 

Campus Rating
Overall the campus life is very good. The campus has its own gym, cricket ground, basket ball ground, tennis ground, badminton ground, kabaddi place, hospital, carom and chess facility. There are many types of the Clubs which is ran but the student itself. There are total of Two Fests. One is Technical Fest which is Tesseract and other is Cultural Fest which is Flair. College also celebrates many festivals like Navratri and Ganesh Chaturthi and Holi.

  • PDEU is an expensive Univeristy but is worth one.

    My experience has been a good one. Campus environment is really nice as the campus is surrounded by greenery and there are so many spots to hangout with friends.
