My Views on Government Engineering College

Overall Rating
Overall review about my college is really good. I wanted to choose this college because i found it really interesting and good. Government Engineering College is located in Palakkad and it is almost an hour distance away from the nearest railway station.
 

Academics Rating
I chose Information Technology because I am really interested in the field of computers. The eligibility criteria are to write the KEAM exam and get a rank above 6k. The admission process is simple and can be done alone. The frequency of exams is once a year. The academics are upto date and help us face real life challenges by giving us problems similar to real life tragedies.
My course has a fee of Rs.16,000 a year and Rs. 8,000 per semester. This amount usually involves all the charges. There are many scholarships available in our college and they are really helpful. The scholarships give great discounts and are available for most of the students.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty in my course is really good, as all the teachers are well qualified and help all the students understand. They clear all the doubts of the students. The background of all the faculty members is good. All the faculty members will be qualified. The method of teaching is both using PPTs, group discussions, and lectures. The problem solving ability of faculty is awesome and helps us learn. The student to teacher ratio is good as almost 70 students are maintained by one teacher.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college is located in a village. It is calm and nature. The infrastructure is amazing. It is well maintained and clean. The size of each classroom is average and can accommodate about 75 students. There are libraries, grounds, canteen, and much more in this college. The canteen is good and has good food. Sports are well kept. My favorite thing about this college is the cleanliness.
 

Campus Rating
My campus life is amazing and I have many friends both seniors and juniors. The crowd is amazing and all of us share same vibe. There are many clubs. There are many extracurricular activities organized by the college. There are many fests and events both religious and non-religious. Annual fests happen once every three years.

    GEC Sreekrishnapuram is a decent college with affordable fees as it is purely a government run institution. I have very mixed feelings about my journey in this college.
