All About GEC Palakkad

Overall Rating
It is a good college for having good memories and to enjoy college life. The connection between each branches are so good. There is a good supports in each programs conducted by branch-wise or year-wise or conducted by college union. Every student tries to make the program success. The placement is less.
 

Academics Rating
The eligibility for this course in this college is KEAM entrance exam. You need to pass the entrance exam and students are given admission in the basis of rank. There are also many categories of reservation. In the reservation also admission is given in the basis of rank. In this college, in mechanical engineering there are about 70 students are in a class. There is a lateral entry in second year, for that diploma is need in that specific course. To write KEAM entrance exam you need science in plus two.
 

Faculty Rating
There are less permanent staff members in faculty. Most of them are guest lecturers. Some of them are good at teaching and the way they take classes understandable as well. And some of teachers don't come to classes and if they take classes so fast. They try to finish portion fast. There are good support from faculty to students.
 

Placement Rating
35 percent of students were placed. The highest package offered in my course was 16 LPA. The lowest package offered was 4 LPA. The average package offered was 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Byju’s, Walkaroo etc. About 25% students received internship from companies like TCS, Infosys etc. Top roles offered include Senior Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Engineering Trainee etc.
 

Hostel Rating
In college hostel, limited students are given admission. Most of the students were staying in private hostels. Private hostels are costly. College hostel is cheap. And provides good food and it is clean and maintained. Some of group of students taken house for rent to stay.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Every department are in a building. Now a new building is built little far away. The new building is for electrical and electronics engineering department. The main building structure is so good and creative. The symbol for tech fest is taken from college structure. In center of the main building is an open air stage.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is so good. There are 2 or more programs conducted in a month. There so many different types of clubs in college. And so many programs held conducted by these clubs. Most of programs conducted by college union. There is no restriction in dressing, college uniforms are only in first year. The tech fest are conducted in after every 2 years. The name of tech fest is invento.
