CSE Admissions at Sandip University Nashik

Sandip University is great for the students who have low grades and are looking for a college where there is great campus, college life and enjoyment. I chose this University because this is the only college in Nashik which was providing admissions for CSE branch due to my low grades. If you want to have enjoyment in your college years this is the one for you.

I chose to opt for B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering because it is one of the popular and emerging branch observed in these few years and Sandip provides it. Regarding the eligibility requirement for the college admission, it is very simple and straight-forward, you just need to specify the branch, provide some details, and pay installation amount (mine was Rs. 10,000/- as of 2022) to finalize your admission process. The exams are not very frequent and you're given enough time to prepare for the exams as well as your own studies. The academics do not prepare you for anything beneficial as it has gotten quite old and infeasible as per industry standards.

The college fee per year is Rs. 1,12,000/- and the good thing is that there is no hidden charge, but at the year of your admission you'll be forced to pay the money for college uniform (I paid Rs. 5,500/- as of 2022), apart from that no extra amount is required. College does not provide any scholarships to any category, which means all the students pay the same amount of fees. There are no registration/admission fees. The installment/initial fee is simply included in your overall college fees.

To be honest, the Sandip University faculty members are average. In recent months the faculty members have been changed. The teaching method is good as they use projectors in classrooms and provide notes online, free to everyone. The faculty simply focuses on syllabus and nothing apart from that. The teacher-student ratio isn't too good as there are simply a lot of students, around 360+ for CSE branch final year. Some faculty members are welcoming to talk and clear doubts.

Placements at Sandip University aren’t too good as very few companies visit the college with low packages. The highest package provided was 9 LPA offered by Intellipaat (I was selected in it). The experience was simple and great. Some top companies like Accenture, Intellipaat, QSpiders, and Winjit Technologies has recently visited the college which was good in my opinion. The average salary is where Sandip University falls behind which is around 3-4LPA according to my estimation. Placement experience is quite good and the TPO is helpful regarding the placements and assistance.

I haven't analyzed much about the hostel facilities about the college but the hostel has many rooms and the rooms are well maintained and routinely cleaned. Although the college restricts the hostellers at night time and more. It is good and the food is also reported to be hygienic and great. The hostel facility is good but isn't good enough to justify the hefty price tag of Rs.1,00,000/year. Girls and Boys hostels are separated to avoid any conflicting issues as well as hostel provides Gym facilities but charges are not included in the hostel fees. The gym membership costs Rs.800/month.

Sandip University is best when it comes to campus and the number of acres it is spread in. The college is huge. It has multiple buildings for various departments and 5 canteens in total which is by far the best as compared to it competition. Classrooms are huge enough and every bench has 2 power outlets which is perfect for laptops/phones to charge. Every building has huge seminar hall where companies visit for initial pre-placement talk and facilitation. College library is pretty good as a lot of books are available and students are not charged with any money. Football ground and turf is also associated with the college which is pretty cool. My favorite place in college is the Okra canteen as I have my lunch there daily.

The college/campus life at Sandip University is very good and college gets a huge credit for it. Although I'm not a huge fan of events I've had a fair share in participating in the college events that are held almost 15-20 times every year. Events act as a get together because everyone attends the college events. There are certain clubs like MESA, CESA, etc. I'm not aware of these clubs anymore. Regarding college fests, it is very good as it is held during night and everyone has fun. Fests are held twice every year, usually in October and March. My experience at college life was pretty good. The college provides enough freedom to have fun every now and then.
