Zakir Husain College: A Historic Institution with Modern Amenities

Being in a college of University of Delhi that is Zakir Hussian College, gives the experience of studying in a prestigious college of India. It is approximately 200 years old college and was initially a (Madarsa). Now, it is recognized as Great College of Central Delhi. The faculties of the college are top qualified. The interaction between teachers and students are very interactive. The campus environment is nice. the classrooms are clean and same as the campus well maintained. Overall, campus is 8 out of 10. Campus has huge ground for students to play cricket, football, etc. College Union gives its best to help students of college to get benefit of the college. Elections make the college different from those private colleges. The college is well situated where anyone can get bus, metro, or any other mode of transport. The commerce department of this college is very impressive.

The course I chose is B.Com program because I have a keen interest in Finance and the Accounting. The entry requirement for this course is to have 60% in class 12th and passing the CUET entrance exam. The admission process was very simple. After passing out of all the exams of the CUET, I qualified as to get the admission then I listed all the colleges of the University of Delhi as my preference and after the cutoff, I got admission in the Zakir Hussian Delhi college. It is a three-year course having 6 semesters and every year, we got two examinations to qualify for the next. The academics help in preparing individuals to solve the real life problems and get a solution. College supports anti ragging.

The fee structure of the course I had chosen is very simple. It is year wise fee structure including the entire tuition fee, admission fee, registration fee, and other charges applicable. Only the examination fee is charged before the examination, which is very minimum as Rs. 1,500 to Rs. 2,000 per semester.

The faculty members that are teaching us have a very great background of education. Their method of teaching is very dynamic in nature and suits all the students studying. It includes PPTs, group discussion, online, etc. the problem solving ability of the faculties are great. all of them are very knowledgeable and had a great experience of teaching which make them a great tutor. The faculty members are qualified from the top colleges. The teacher to student ratio is also very good my experience of bonding with our faculty is very nice. If anyone is having any type of query, we can approach to the faculty members and share to them. they always help us to get the solution.

The placements of Zakir Husain College are very nice. It always provides new insights of the placements. It always helps us in getting the internships for the college. This helps students to get a basic knowledge of job or placement. It keeps on adding the skills to the students’ work force. The placement cell also keeps on conducting the placement related activities like recruiting the students from the college to manage the placement cell. The package offered by the recruiters or the average salary for the package of the college is 4 LPA.

There is no hostel facility in my college.

The campus’ academic blocks are well built. The sitting area and interactive area are also included, which gives a sense of freedom. College library is also very nice as it is fully air-conditioned. Canteen is also very good. The food availability is good. There is also a new building of our college, which is almost completed. It will be opened for students soon. It is very architectural building. The favorite part of the college is the outside the canteen area which is a sitting area where all the students sit and gather out. The infrastructure of the college is very good the whole infrastructure is divided in three parts the art block the science block and the commerce block, that minimizes the Rush during the study hours.

The campus life is overall great. the college crowd is also very nice. The extracurricular activities of the colleges are also organized in the college. The campus experience is good. There is no ragging in Zakir Husain College. All the seniors and juniors are all treated equally as it at academic level.
