Why IIT BHU is Best Among All the IITs?

Overall Rating
IIT BHU is one of the oldest technical institutes in our country established back in 1919. Currently it has a NIRF ranking of 10. The institute has a really blissful and calm environment. We have so many clubs, cells, and societies which help in the overall development of a student. The academic facilities are top notch here. One of the main attractions of this institute is its placement which is one of the primary reasons why people choose this institute. Along with the campus, the enriching and divine city of a Varanasi is also one of the main reasons why you should opt for this institute.
 

Academics Rating
I have opted for B.Tech course. In the first year, all the branches have same courses. The branch specific course that is the specialization of your own branch starts mainly from the second year. The faculties here are really experiences and help the students with their academic doubts. Midterm exams are usually conducted 40 to 45 days after the semester starts while the end-sem exams are conducted in the month of April and November for even and odd sem respectively.
The fee structure varies according to your annual family income as follows: You need to pay Rs. 15,000 every semester as a mess fee regardless, of your family income. If family income is more than 5 Lakh, sem fee is Rs. 1,06,350, if it's between 1 to 5 Lakh, the fee is around Rs. 40,000 per sem and if income is less than 1 Lakh, the fee is Rs. 6,350 per semester. Various scholarships are provided to the students about which you are informed through mails.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties here are really experienced. Most of them have completed their higher studies from the premium institutes of the country and have in depth knowledge of their subjects. While some faculties opt for PPTs to teach. They are quite well versed with their subject and have knowledge of real life applications as well which helps us to gain practical knowledge.
 

Placement Rating
One of the main attractions of all the IIT's across the country are its placement stats. The placements here are top notch and never disappoint those who come here in order to land their dream job. Placements are organized by the Training and Placement cell. Top companies like Google, Microsoft, etc. come here to hire graduates. The highest package offered this year was above 2 CPA while average package being around 20 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
The students must reside in the hostels provided to them by the institute. Hostels are allotted based on the year in which you are currently. No co-ed hostels are there in IIT BHU. Mess is just besides the hostel allotted.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is quite old here. Classrooms lack AC but the new director has started to provide the air conditioners in the common halls of the hostel. The campus is really big and separate classes for all the departments are present. We have a Library, student activity centre, a seminar hall as well as many other facilities here. We have 3 big grounds for the purpose of outdoor sports namely Rajputana, Gymkhana and ADV ground.
 

Campus Rating
The campus is lush green and it always feels good to go for a walk. Since it is an open campus, it might be a bit crowded during the day time but it is quite during night. There are various clubs like DFZ, IMC, WMC, aero modeling club, robotics club, SAE, and many more. We have 3 major annual fests namely Kashiyatra, Technex, and Spardha. They are the cultural, technical and the annual sports fest of our institute.

    IIT BHU is currently ranked 10 in NIRF ranking 2024. The college has very good environment for academics and personal development. So many clubs and societies are there to help a student in his / her extracurricular growth. The college has tech clubs like aero modeling, robotics, coding club, and more.     The overall experience at IIT BHU is like dream fulfilling, had a rigorous curriculum, research opportunities and highly educated faculties for the academics. I really like the sports facilities offered by the institute and joyful & memorable experiences at the festivals.
