According to me when I was seeking admission into IIT’s, the best IIT and branch I was getting was over here at IIT Jodhpur, my earlier perceptions about the institute were fully transformed on a positive note within few months of experience, the college is really good at each and every front whether it is academics, co-curricular, cultural or even other domains apart from engineering. The current director is very much focused on the growth of the institute in each and every domain like academics, research culture, placements, entrepreneurship and expanding infrastructure of college hence I believe it would be a good decision to join IITJ as now after completion of 15 years of formation it is officially among tier 1 IIT’s.

Academics in IITJ are like any other IIT, the first year of a student focuses on a lot of concepts which he/she has studied earlier, while all the branches initially have same curriculum for the first year hence it is easier for the student to study the courses, the course curriculum becomes a bit difficult from 3rd semester while the college also do have a good branch change policy for the students making it liberal than other IIT's.

All the faculties who are teaching in IIT' always have a really good and strong academic and research background, not all but there are few faculties who are really experienced and have a top ranking in Asia in the fields of Machine Learning and Cryptography also core faculties are really good and have a vast knowledge of the topic they teach.

Yes we do have placement cell in our college; they have a really good background and administration. Each year the count of internships and placements for the college are increasing, also currently despite recession college placements are going really good.

Yes we do have hostels in the institute there are various hostels for the students, each student gets his/her single AC rooms where the hostel facilities and caretakers are really supportive. We do have common rooms and recreational facilities right now in most of the hostels except the ones newly constructed.

The campus has a really good infrastructure with a lot of scientific concepts used along with built with the vision of a modern campus, it is spread across 847 acres while divided into two parts pocket A and B pocket B is the innovation complex of 300 acres which is currently under construction while pocket A has all the academic buildings a 2 stored library and various departmental buildings along with the school of management.

Campus life at IITJ is really good with a lot of activities, academics, clubs, fests etc. You will find that every month one or the other fest is happening sometimes it's literary, sports, cultural, tech etc. but I do believe that the hard work You do for cracking JEE adv is worth it after witnessing such great campus life, there are various clubs like entrepreneurship cell, literature society, newsletter club, programming club, dance club, sports board, etc.
