1st Year Student’s Experience in Mithibai College of Arts

Overall Rating
Mithibai College of Arts is famous for its BA courses and I can see why. My personal experience here I would say is amazing. It not only focuses on academics but also over the general development of the student. The professors are great really smart. Many fests are organized by the college and everyone can display their talent. All you need to do is focus on finding the right friend group hat suits u and your personality.
 

Academics Rating
The course that I chose is BA (Hons.) in Economics. There is no entrance exam for this course hence, it is primarily based on the marks of 12th. After that, your selection will be done according to the merit list of class 12th. The admission process is easy. Your internal examinations, which are ICA, are conducted online and objective types. Each semester has one final examination. In each year, you will have 2 semesters which means there are 2 final exams in a year, which are of moderate level.
The fee structure differs for each course. For example for BA students, the fee for each year is Rs. 12,000. You can apply for scholarships if you fulfill all the criteria. The fee is little high for International students.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are well educated with PhDs and MBA in the required field. Above that, they know how to handle the class and make the lectures more interesting. They are helpful and can give you the right guidance to make future decision and during exam times also. They can help you out and conduct extra lectures to solve doubts. They are sweet as long as you behave and don’t disturb the class.
 

Placement Rating
I have heard that placements in Mithibai College are great but as a first year student, I may not have the right information to give. If you are seeking if internships then you have tones of opportunities and so many people are there to help you out. There is no need to stress about the placement as well.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel facilities are not provided by the college. However, students can get accommodations near the college. These accommodations have all the basic amenities.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure wise, the college is divided into floors. Mithibai college has the best library and labs. It has all sorts of books that one needs for their examination. They are well organized as well. You can get past year papers and so much more. It also has online website to access to the books and paper work. Security wise, the college is strict.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life here is great. It has so many clubs for every field and daily fests are going on. The crowd of the college is mixed. It is just you need to find the right people for you. The college at times can feel too crowded as which is great for making connection. The biggest fest of Mithibai College is ‘Kshitij’ and it is worth the hype. Here, you will also get to meet multiple actors as well as they come often to promote their work.

    From an academic and campus life point of view, Mithibai College is one of the best places to be in. I say this for a specific reason, as our college hosts some of the most prominent fests and events. When it comes to academics, we are still among the top few colleges of Mumbai University where strict or minimum attendance criteria still exists.     Mithibai is one of the best college in Mumbai. One will find best faculty, AC classrooms, best infrastructure, canteen, and much more. The crowd of students is also nice, you will love the vibe here. In addition, one should know that this college, it is very strict about.     I am still a fresher as I am in my second semester and have seen a lot of purple patch already. I foresee though a lot of it coming as our college rocks. It is a perfect booster for students like us who are fresh and full of energy. One thing that I will have to admit is that when you are at the campus of Mithibai College of Arts, you will feel that you have highest energy.
