Life in DSE New Delhi: Academics, Activities, and Others

Overall Rating
Delhi School of Economics (DSE) has low fee structure as compared to IIMs and placements are very good. As the student of MBA I feel that the curriculum is balanced of both practical and theoretical knowledge and even the teachers prepare us for real world. You get perfect environment for study and the students are so knowledgeable that you learn so many things from them. I feel that a change in myself and have much more knowledge in just 1 year which I didn't acquire in 3 years of my under graduation.
 

Academics Rating
DSE University of Delhi provides two different courses in MBA, first is MBA IB (International Business) and MBA (Human Resource Development). Both the programs are very popular & good. Basically if you are confused which MBA course you should choose so please once see the syllabus of both the courses and take your decision. Teachers are amazing and knowledgeable.
The fees are varying year to year but it is not much. You complete your Master's in very minimal fees. Except your yearly fee there is the examination fee. For PWD students, there are no examination fee as well and if your financial condition is not good then scholarship scheme is also available.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty is very good and the professors are very knowledgeable. They organise several interactive sessions to assist us enhance our skills. Sometime teachers give case studies in the class and discuss. Teachers are available to discuss.
 

Placement Rating
The placement cell of Delhi School of Economics is good. Placement record of MBA program is strong and is improving every year; median package is around 13 LPA to 14 LPA .
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is well maintained and amazing. The size of campus is very large we have the Asia's biggest library that Ratan Tata Library but we don't have any sports complex or a big ground to play sports we have a canteen and seminar hall we have different building for MBA students and the favorite place I feel that is JP Tea stall which is in the campus. The classrooms are big and in every class room there is one AC.
 

Campus Rating
The overall experience is very good. There are many societies where you can take part and boost your skills by participating. There are many competitions where you can participate.

    The overall review according to me of the college is amazing. All teachers are experts in their domain and extremely helpful. You could go to them either after lecture or in their office hours. They will clarify your doubts regarding everything be it course or technicalities of the college. Everyone is passionate about teaching and while the course is rigorous it prepares you for the future. Apart from that that canteen is awesome. The food over there is hygienic and tasty.     Walking into Delhi School of Economics feels like walking into a world which has been lived by one of the best scholars India has ever produced. The feeling of getting into DSE is surreal, the people you meet, the exposure you get, and the amount of conversations you strike with the best minds in the field of academics is what sets DSE apart from many other institutions.   • I am jolting down my experience at DSE

    Having completed my PG from DSE, I wish I could have prepared myself a bit better. Having done my graduation from St Stephen's College that is just in front of DSE, never though I will be North Campus for eternity. Before joining, I hardly had any idea about the kind of course DSE provides and that Department of Economics will be this hard. Any PG course for that matter would be hard, but DSE perhaps had the toughest going in education career. My review might help the students to prepare upfront... Read Full Review

  • Academics at D School were rigorous

    When I look back now, I feel proud but back in the days; I was restless as after mild studies at undergraduate level at Presidency College Chennai, my life turned upside down. Education at D School was such that it was difficult to even go out on Sundays. One thing that Delhi School of Economics did best was that it made me become Socrates.
