Exploring Campus Life at GEHU Dehradun

Overall Rating
My experience overall is very good here. Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun has good faculty, academics, and infrastructure. I chose this university because it’s easy to access, as it is near the ISBT. Secondly, the fee for hilly students is significantly less compared to other universities. The academic building is very spacious and open, which gives a good study environment. You should consider it as well for admission.
 

Academics Rating
My course is BBA, I chose this course because I am from Commerce background and I thought it will be good for me to pursue. To be eligible for admission here, you should score at least 50% in your class 12th boards. 2 exams are conducted per semester; one is mid-term exam and the other is the end semester exam. End semesters are quite difficult because the syllabus is huge for it.
The general student fee for my course is Rs. 90,000 but I got 25% fee concession as a hill student. Scholarship is given based on the class 12th marks. If you score above 70% then you are eligible for scholarship. Scholarship is also given on the bases of SGPA. There are additional fee for transportation services that is Rs. 1,400 per semester and Rs. 3,000 is paid as library charge.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of campus is Good. Most of the faculty members here have done their PhD. Background of facilities is that many teachers have studied form the same university and some are from LSRCC as well. There is 1 teacher per 50 students. My experience is good and bonding with faculty is also good; they have helped me in many problems. They motivate students to do better in both academics and extracurricular. The method of teaching is overall good; I like the teaching style of faculty.
 

Placement Rating
GEHU Dehradun has a placement cell. I haven’t sat for placements yet so, I do not have much information about the same.
 

Hostel Rating
I am a day scholar. So, I do not have any idea about the hostels.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus structure is good and there are 3 buildings in campus; One building has classes for BBA students and others have classes for B.Tech and BCA. There is a canteen in the campus, which serves good food. The food is good taste wise. There are sports facilities for football, volleyball, kho-kho, cricket, etc. The campus library is also good because in library all types of course book are available. Labs are good; all the computers are in working condition and operate well. For various events there is a seminar hall.
 

Campus Rating
My overall campus life is good because in GEHU Dehradun, I found many supportive friends and teachers. University crowd is very good and talented. There are many clubs like NCC, NSS, dance, drama, etc. Many activities are organized by the college like Sports day and Fest. Annual fest ‘Grafest’ is also conducted, in which many famous people come to perform. I am enjoying my college life really well.

    I chose Graphic Era Hill University because it was a renowned organization and not too far from my place. The infrastructure and faculty are excellent and even the placements are most important reasons I preferred GEHU over other colleges.
